I only got about six SATA questions?

Nursing Students NCLEX

I felt like the SATA questions were fairly easy... The test shut off at 75 questions. Is this a sign that I failed? I had such a hard time focusing because I felt like I really didn't know the answer to majority of the questions, even after Hurst Review!

The number of SATA questions is irrelevant to passing, I had like 6 or 7 out of my 75 questions. I also felt like I knew nothing and cried all the way home because I was sure I failed. I I'm sure you did fine! :)

Thank you for your reply! That's encouraging to hear, for sure, but I don't want to let myself think I'm just fine to avoid horrible disappointment in case I didn't pass. But that is good to hear. :)

What state did you take your nclex?

if your state does quick results, do it.

if not, then maybe do the pvt after 24 hours?

if you're in Cali, and don't want to do the pvt, expect to wait 2-4 weeks for results :(

but regardless, good luck! Hope you pass!

I took it in Michigan! I think I'm gonna wait and do the PVT. And thank you! :)

Be careful with the pvt. It's not accurate any more and a friend of mine is out the $$ but passed. Unfortunately the best thing is to wait for quick results if you have access or until you get word from your BON

The type of question is irrelevant, as questions of all types are written both above and below passing standard. What the test shutting off at 75 means is that within a 95% confidence level, you demonstrated minimum competency or failed to demonstrate minimum competency regardless of how many more questions you would have been given.

Good news: I PASSED!! Woooo! I truly believed that I had failed, but I passed!! I'm officially an RN, BSN!! Lord, thank you!! I am so relieved!

Thank you to all who replied to this thread as well. I appreciate your advice and support very much! ☺

Congratulations, what resources did you use to study?

Congratulations!!! I got 10 SATA out of 100 questions and passed too...

(@optimism08) Thank you very much! I used Hurst Review, but I watched all the videos first while I filled out the booklet that comes with the review. It gave me a strong foundation of all the need-to-know basics of everything med-surg. After that, I made my own notes of the booklet to commit them to memory. I also used a bit of Saunders and purchased the NCLEX Mastery app. I highly recommend that app. I truly believe it helped me to pass!

Good luck to you! :-)

I had the same feeling as you. Like testing and I dunno if my answer choices are right and it shut off at 75. I was like gimme more question so I could pass!

Sata popped in often and I maybe had like less than 10. Got used to sata showing up from time to time answering uworld. Few drag and drop and computation.

Went home thinking I didn't passed. But I did and saw my name on the boards rn roster this morning.
