  1. I worked in foreign countries using my foreign RN license. A year in the ED in a hospital and several years as an EMT-RN in an ambulance. Question now is, how can I become a certified flight nurse in New Mexico? Provided I have had my bls acls pals phtls Do I need to have MSN? I'd like to have my masters though. Thanks.
  2. Pick up the pieces and reorganize yourself. Have a vacation and get back to studying when you forgotten all your stuff. Thats what I would do.
  3. I graduated nursing in Philippines 10 years ago too, taken the test march 5th and saw my name on my bon rn roster 8am on the 7th. How was your result?
  4. @Odadz I posted how I studied when Bon posted my name on the RN roster last Monday. I studied everything rn. I suck at ob in nursing school before and boy now, you could flip things out and I surely can manage its care.
  5. Prioritization and delegation according to pda Disease process with unexpected thing that is happening. ie T6 having hpn Uworld prioritization is ABCD altered mentation, acute pain and some other stuff Delegation was answered by previous poster.
  6. I was out 10 years and passed nclex rn on my first try for 75 questions without any refreshers course.
  7. Study every research based practice on the internet and jog your memory. You'll be surprised how our mind works. Get the ball rolling while your waiting for ATT and take the test 2 days before it expires. You'd just maximized your time there. Because time is what your brain needs now. Don't rush yourself into writing the test and don't lax either. Get content first and a month before test date do nothing but questions and understanding rationales. I hope this helps and good luck!
  8. @jchristine89 You surely are right and thank you. Congratulations too. It really is a unique test.
  9. Took my test 3/5/16 with 75 questions. Quick result this morning said I have to pay $7.50 to see if I passed or not. I thought I'm not spending just to know I didn't pass my exam. Went to my board of nursing roster and saw my name listed.
  10. I was expecting like what others say about uworld and nclex and I was expecting my first question on nclex will be sata. But bam! Computer gave me a question I overlooked on my review. I was like telling the computer give me questions I know so I will not do critical thinking. Like talking to a wall. All questions required me to use my mind, and I'm glad my intelligence didn't falter. I guess it really doesn't matter how we compare NCLEX to. So long we pass the test and be great nurses who advocates for our patients. I had experience with a dumb nurse here in canuck land who was manhandling my toddler for IV insertion. I told this dumb nurse "If I do that to your daughter are you gonna like it?" G ddamn dumb sob! I always care for patients thinking he or she is someone's child or parent. Because I want others to offer the same kindness to me or my family. Good luck on your test! Trust your intelligence and you'll succeed with all your endeavors.
  11. I had the same feeling as you. Like testing and I dunno if my answer choices are right and it shut off at 75. I was like gimme more question so I could pass! Sata popped in often and I maybe had like less than 10. Got used to sata showing up from time to time answering uworld. Few drag and drop and computation. Went home thinking I didn't passed. But I did and saw my name on the boards rn roster this morning.
  12. Well if uworld questions are in NCLEX then the institution that safeguard the public have failed. Just buy your months subscription and you'll be an RN. My average on all 1800 questions are 61.5% Well if your gonna use your extra sensory perception (dunno what you mean by n in your espn) by all means your welcome for it. Free country. I meant about RN IQ is your critical thinking skills.
  13. Thank you. I took everything I can get. Assimilated all research based knowledge out there. My review content came from ncsbn, hurst, nursing books, 35pg floating around, la chlarity, feuer, google, you tube, cdc and health dept website. Answered like 5 to 6 thousand nclex style questions. From ncsbn, pda, kaplan, saunders and lastly to the hardest uworld questions. Uworld qbank made me use my RN IQ aside from the rationales. One thing I did not agree was giving hydromorphine on a acute pancreatitis patient. Uworld said there is no fact to support morphine causes spasm to sphincter of odi. But I reserve my answer cause nclex might not have updated yet. Good luck to you and believe in your knowledge and ability. You'll have you RN.
  14. If your fresh from graduating and still have a huge deal of nursing content in your mind, do kaplan first and uworld last. My ATT was 75 days validity and scheduled my test date before my att expires. I studied content on the first 2 months and questions on the third month to gauge I know my stuff. Uworld makes you use your RN IQ. I find kaplan qbank questions on some, your answer is either the long or short sentence choice.
