I finally got a good offer. A 120 bed LTC with a census of 93. They have 3 different wings and licensed nurses at each wing each shift (so help available if I need it). I will be in charge of 26 residents with a full crew. Every other weekend evenings and if I want to work extra/PRN, I just tell the ADON and she pencils me in. 18 cents less than my last job but she said if I have a good evaluation after my first 90 days, then I will probably get a raise.
I'm just happy to have a job!
Blessings, Michelle

Congradulations Michelle on your new job.
When do you start working?
Congradulations Michelle on your new job. When do you start working?
They have a facility orientator...every Tuesday at 9:30am is when they orient you...do your paperwork, background checks, go over policy and procedure, give you a tour of facility etc. Then I told her I could work the next 2 weekends and she said "Great!" so I'm pretty much starting right away, which is good because I really need the money...but I didn't take this job just for the money...I'm really alert and focused on evenings and feel that these 26 residents I'll have will be well cared for while I'm there!

CONGRATS!
I've been following your journey through some of your posts. I am so happy you were able to find a job that would pay you as an RN.
Good Luck in your new job!
