I'm freaking out. I just got my final grade for A&P 2 and its a C. i took A&P 2. I tried so hard but the workload and stress was really over the top! IMHO, There is no reason why an A&P 2 course needs to be so involved. 3 parts to a test? 2-3 Essays, Multiple choice section, AND a lab practical? Throw in online quizzes, in class quizzes and labs that require essays, printouts, cutouts, drawings, etc.. So far i have an "A" in A&P 1, an "A" Psychology, and "B" in Dev. Psych, and a "B+" in nutrition. i just sent my spring 2012 transcript to the nursing school i applied to and i feel like jumping off a bridge. plus, the private school i applied to told me i had to take the TEAS the same day i handed in my app even though it was stated that the TEAS would be taken AFTER screening of the completed applications. so, i had no time to study AT ALL. i took the test cold and i ended up with a 70.... i felt like garbage. am i being too hard on myself? has anyone gotten into a nursing program with a "C" in A&P 2??? im taking micro this summer. hopefully if i get a B or higher my C will be forgiven.... HELP!!!!

first things first ... BREATHE
from the sounds of it, with all of the other classes/grades that you mentioned, you are an intelligent person.
i have also taken A & P II, as you know, it is more in depth than A & P I. i received A's in both the A & P's and B in micro ... which was devestating to me as well, but considering my workload, i am happy with the B.
as far as getting into nursing school with a C, i can not say ... each school is different, i would suggest checking out the guidelines for the college in which you applied. my college accepts no lower than a C to get in and once in, the lowest grade you can get is a C - 77%.
don't be so hard on yourself! keep calm and push forward.
you got this :heartbeat

Make an A in Micro and I'm sure you will be fine.

I was going to say the same thing as Jenniferasch: breathe!
About the TEAS . . . What grade did you need to achieve? Is 70 too low? (I would know this but I haven't taken the TEAS yet and my school looks at the grades separately, not the overall grade.) Can you retake it?
Think through some of that before you fling yourself off a bridge. :)
they did not specify a minimum score. when i got the exam results the proctor looked pleasantly surprised and told me i did a good job. he said that when it says proficient next to the percentile, the school considers that a good score.... so im kinda in the dark. i know some schools accept a min. 59th percentile, and others need at least an 80. i guess it depends on the school.
thanks everyone for the input. i was kinda losing it today. :)

Just make sure you do well with the rest of the pre-reqs, I got a C in Micro (and a B in pretty much every other pre-req) and am starting a BSN program in the fall. I must note that I was initially denied by my program but other people who got accepted chose other programs, opening up a space for me. It isn't the worst thing in the world just buckle down with the rest of them and you'll be ok.

OP, don't stress. In Fall 2009, I had extenuating circumstances that prevented me from attending classes mid-way through. I couldn't withdraw by then so I flunked A&P I, Chem I, and English II, all nursing prerequisites.
One year later, when my situation was under control, I retook these three classes and completed an additional 70 credit hours of subject material with A's and a couple B's. I have since been accepted to a program this coming fall.
I felt, as you do now, that my chances were blown. I believe if you do well in micro, you have a good chance of being accepted. If you aren't, no biggie. Just retake the A&P and score an A. Even if the school averages it, that's a B.
Good luck and I wish you the best.

I got a B for A&P 1 because I let my skin (acne problems) control me.. it got worse, so I really couldn't focus.. I felt hopeless.
I got a 96 and 94 for the first 2 exam and got a 50 out of 50 in all labs which I feel good about that, but I did bad for the last 2 exams and finals.. the last two exams I got a 62 and 64.. for the finals I got a 49 which screwed me up big time.. if I did good, I could have gotten a negative A. The finals was really hard though, but I didn't study hard enough. I am taking A&P 2 and I won't let my skin control me!! It is getting better though. I am aiming for negative A or an A. I will try my best! Plus I got the same teacher which she's nice . She gives bonuses sometimes.
I'm happy with a B I guess since I really didn't study at all :X not too bad for a person who didn't study more than an hour a day. My GPA went from 3.47 to 3.44.. no big deal ;\
Not sure what my science GPA is but I took a few.. Nutrition, Intro to biology, Basic A&P, and A&P 1. I got an A for all xcept A&P 1. Most university here accept C+ and up.. so I am good. I'm a B student according to my GPA
