As far as keeping your mouth shut, don't.
Be absolutely teachable. Ask questions. Even when you know the answer some times it is wise to ask anyway. This does two things. It shows you acknowledge you do not know everything, it says you are conscientious enough double check what you do know.
In turn it can calm any threat another nurse may be feeling because you have come on board. It says you are trying to do your and be your very best.
This means stay awake and pay attention to any training they offer even if it is old hat. Don't criticize until you have been there long enough to have earned that right.
