I got the good pop up! I hope it still works right!

Well, I took my NCLEX today! I went in praying like crazy I would get the minimum amount then after it went past the minimum of 75 I started to panic. I got up and took a break and got myself together. I just remembered what they tell you at Hurst Review that if your still getting questions your still passing. I thought is was so crazy that over half my test was select all that apply. When the test ended at 150 I thought for sure I had failed. I came home and did the Pearson Vue trick and got the good pop up. I just hope it still works right and that I didn't do it too soon. I have had friends that went straight out of the test and looked at the PVT and got the good pop up and it worked. So I am hoping for the best.

By the way all I did to study (other than nursing school itself) was Hurst Review and I really felt like it gave you an excellent review for the test. I did the live review then went home and watched the video's then read the book again and that was it.

While I wish you the best of luck, to answer your concern about whether you did the PVT too soon...yes, you did. As did your friends who did it right after their test; it wasn't that "it worked" right after the test, it was that you know only what half the grading was at that time.

You only know your first score, and the 'good pop up' indicates it was a 'pass' at that time. YOU MUST WAIT a full 24 hours for your second score to be finalized (people don't seem to realize your exam is scored twice?). Once 24 hours' time has passed....then you do the PVT.

The great majority of first-time test-takers DO pass the NCLEX, so odds are in your favor anyway. Good luck!

Well,I don't think I did it too soon. I just looked on the board of nursing website for my state and I passed! So yes it did work. Woo Hoo!

Congrats! After all is said and done, this is the goal :)

I do want to try for you to understand this, though, because I don't want you to mistakenly misinform others: yes, you DID do the PVT too soon, as you did NOT know you had passed for certain until you saw your name on the BoN. Like I have already explained, immediately upon finishing your exam you will only know the FIRST score---not the final one. In your case, the second score matched, so YAY! But I assure you that there are enough others who do exactly what you did only to find that their second score was DIFFERENT that it matters greatly when you do the PVT. And it needs to be 24 hours after completion to know anything with any certainty. Just yesterday someone posted about this; she did it just like you did (too soon) and her second scoring was different. In her case, she paid $$ because her first score was a fail, but in actuality she passed. Much heartache...and loss of funds....for nothing :(

If anyone is taking the NCLEX for Florida BON, then there's a link on BON webpage for your results. It will whether you pass or fail but nothing else, it's not detailed. But it's from the actually BON website! You won't necessarily have your RN license # registered or assigned to you let, but it can take away a LOT of anxiety!
