The scholarship is for $1300. How weird is that?

Cool! Well...Are you going to apply it to the CPNE ? Inquiring minds want to know. Seriously hope you are doing great! Traci
I'm not doing the CPNE again. It's not that I'm terrified to do so (uneasy, yes), but after my CPNE in January, I finally realized that I have no business doing nursing school this way. Who the heck is going to hire me as an RN when my LPN experience is so old and the field is so saturated with RNs around here anyway? Besides, my family is frying a huge (and expensive!) fish right now that is infinitely more important to us than this right now, so that's where my money is going.
I just thought it was really interesting that I was awarded the scholarship...I'm not sure how I qualified.

So you will have to give the scholarship back if you don't use it toward school? Why would they let you keep the money? I really wish you would take the CPNE over. You have every right to get your RN that way. I think that's a sign from God giving you another chance. Don't you want it? I know deep in your heart that you do. My heart goes out to you. Don't miss this great opportunity.
I certainly wouldn't take the money if I wasn't using it for school. :) Someone else needs the money more than I do. I don't think they'd give it to me anyway if I don't reregister for the CPNE.
Honestly, the scholarship notification did not change my desire one iota about not taking the CPNE again.
If I do go for my RN, I will go to the local college and do it that way. That is how I really should have done it in the first place. Shoot--I haven't worked as an LPN since 2003, and I still did pretty darned well at the CPNE. (That was a confidence booster, for real!) However, how on earth would I explain this as a good thing to an employer in this market I live in, already saturated with local grads from the local traditional college for very few open jobs?
I don't really want the RN at this point in my life...that desire dissipated before my original CPNE, but I went for it anyway.
No harm intended in my post. Sorry to come off so forcefull. I understand your rationale so I will support your opinion with not taking the CPNE over.Even though I think you would be a great RN!

Well, congratulations anyway.
:)
It's cool! :)
I may be an okay RN if I ever get to that point, but I'm a darned good CMT for now, and I don't mean Country Music Television or Certified Massage Therapist!
Well, congratulations anyway.:)
LOL!
Is this EC's kind way of saying I'm poor? :)
