Hi all.........most of you know about all the problems I've had at the hospital I have worked at for the past 4 years. Well, yesterday (friday) was my last day and I feel like a new nurse!!
It was alittle hard.......I have left some great nurses and even greater friends, but I do have all of their phone numbers.
I just couldn't take it anymore.........the back-biting, the paper overload, the ever changing and worsening patient loads and the constant call-offs with no replacements.
I start my new job next week and I'm going to enjoy a couple of days off. I also get to reunite with my youngest who was stationed in Gulf Port and was caught in this horrific storm. He is ok and on his way home....Thank God.
Thanks to all of you who have encouraged me and cheered me up during some of the really 'hard' times.......you all are great. I really hated leaving, but my health is taking a toll and I was getting to the point of not caring.......I'm looking forward to the change. I also have a P/T job close to the house, so the extra money will surly help with buying gas :chuckle
They are bringing several busses here and they will be staying at a old jail facility that has been vacant for 4 years. They have been working around the clock to fix it up for all the families.Again, thanks for your encouragement and kindness!!!
Wow, that is a good idea to house people. No privacy, but it's a place to go.
Bless you for helping those people who need it so desperately.
