It shouldn't be long now. I kept calling the billing department and telling them I wanted to give them money! At least it made them laugh. :) Hang in there, chickie ... it does take a while, but I guess we have to (grudgingly) remember that EC has other students (both nursing and non-nursing) to process for graduation all the time, which is why it takes so long. I remember being mad that I missed being able to do the summer ER fellowship because EC took too long to update me, but the fall fellowship was fine, too. It all worked out. But I feel your pain!
ive got a completion date and a grad date of 4/17 but the fee is not showing up...and ya know they wont send my affidavit to the texas bon until they get their money....
same here denise. i graduate 4/17 as well and they still haven't updated it to where the fee shows......i've already applied to mn bon and pearson now i'm just waiting on the school so they can send an affidavit to mn......then the really long process begins in trying to get licensed in the wonderful state of ga:banghead:
Just FYI about TX... they take an incredibly long time to process your paperwork. I am about to lose my mind!!!! I got my completion date on 3/3, my affidavit was mailed on 3/11. I am still waiting to be updated by TX. They only lack my affidavit,so they say.I call everyday. I actually was told more than once that only one person enters the info. I have been told the person in the mail room had the flu, the processing person was out for a few days, the person who was supposed to process had left with "4 inches of paperwork on the desk", the supervisor was getting right on that, etc. You get the picture. I have had another affidavit mailed out earlier this week. When I called EC the first thing she said when I told her I needed another affidavit was "You must be from TX". Apparently they consistently screw everything up!!! I am seriously doubting this will happen anytime soon. The worst part is I lose $12 an hour every day I work. The day my GN status posts I get my raise. I am not even motivated to study anymore. Sorry for ranting... just letting you TX grads know what to expect.
Terri (still waiting for GN)
well this is just great...thanks for letting me know .. i guess it really don't matter when i pay my fee's then since the chances of me being a rn this year is null and void....i hope they hurry up for you ...i found a or internship that i am interested in at harris methodist ft worth that starts in june so i hope they get on the ball...until then i am happy being a lvn...
Call the nursing department. They sent my friend this generic 6 page explanation of the Excelsior program as a recommendation. I called my LPN instructors and both of them sent me more personable letters stating my character and strengths during my LPN education. Good Luck with the TBON. NCBON was just as bad. They only have one person entering the information. It took me 4 weeks after graduation for them to process my paperwork. It took my friend 5 weeks. They need to get more help because Texas is a huge state. Having one person in a department like that is unacceptable.
