I have been reading here for sometime...I just took my NCLEX on Monday, I passed with 75 questions. HOnestly, I did not think it was that bad. I think it is more of a mental thing more then anything. It asked basic nursing skills IMO. I was a B-C student in nursing school. I took Kaplan, and I can tell you Kaplan is way harder then NCLEX. I got 6 SATA, 1 Med cal and several pharm....most I never heard of. I used q bank and got mid to higher 50's....... and I also used Saunders...I only did 100 questions a day for a solid 2 weeks..... Good luck to all those who are taking the exam!!
thank you for the advice... and in terms of key words , what are the type of key words? what do you do next? is usually a question i encounter.. or what is the most important/essential?.. and this to me doesnt hint me to assessment or implementation, but like you said, i will focus on the stem and look for clues if i have to assess or not.. and when in doubt, i will assess first. Thank you :)

You always assess before you implement. If they give you enough info the question to implement then implement but if not then you need to assess first. There are key words in the questions that direct you that its an assessment question.
