Please read the wonderful advice posted in our NCLEX Discussion Forum especially from those who have failed 3-4 x and gone on to succeed.
I'm in the same boat as you, Ready2Nurse5. I've been coming on this board to feel more confident about passing the nclex. My first and second attempt I had 75 questions and failed. For my second attempt I did kaplan but didnt have time to do all qtrainer, but I did all qbank questions. I just bought hurst online and saunders 6th edition. Anyone know of a good book for SATA questions? This time I will make sure I'm ready before scheduling for my next attempt. I just took my second attempt about a week ago and I was sad/upset but reading all of the other comments really got me going again. Don't be discouraged and keep on going. Some days I feel that way too, but I just keep reading comments of people passing after the 3rd, 4th, or 5th times. You can do it!!
Dont be discourage we are in the same boat. I took the nclex twice now and failed. Im taking it again for the 3rd time and I will study because I keeps on telling myself that I dont want to be cna forever! I studied for 4years so theres no turning back. Always remember we will succeed! We will have a flying colors as well. We will be RN!
Review your performance review report; and see what your below or near passing areas are.
Start making mock NCLEX exams; start with the minimum; work your way up to the maximum to get a feel of endurance for the exam.
Also be VERY familiar with the four concepts of NCLEX, which is the four concepts of becoming an entry-level professional nurse:
1. Safe, effective care;
2. Health Promotion;
3.Physiological Integrity;
4. Psychosocial Integrity.
If you know what your weaknesses are in the four areas, work on those questions and concepts; review questions and rationales; If you don't understand the rationales, look up the information in your study resources.
Best wishes.

I just found out that I failed the NCLEX for the second time and I am extremely sad. I don't know what to so. I studied consistently daily for about 6 weeks. I took a Kaplan course and did practice questions (100-150/day). It took forever to rebuild what was left of my confidence after my last 'fail.' The first time I failed horribly, 75 questions. This time I thought I was doing better. I took my time, and worked through each question. The computer cut off somewhere between 125 and 130. I left the testing site feeling somewhat unsure but better than the time before. The waiting was agony, only to find out that once again, I failed.
Please help! I am beginning to think being a nurse isn't for me.
