I failed my first time as well and the biggest advice I can give is to do as many questions as possible and focus on rationale. The Kaplan program was a life saver for me. Like I said though whatever you choose you have to put the work in. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Please HELP. Where can I buy the PDA Book PRIORITIZATION, DELEGATION AND ASSIGNMENT Book?????

You can find the book in any book store or online. Click on this link for an online store: Prioritization, Delegation, & Assignment Book.

m preparing to take it again soon.. this time using SUZANNE's PLAN, but is it still okay to use the 3RD EDITION SAUNDERS COMP. REVIEW NCLEX-RN?...

I would PM Suzanne to get the most accurate answer. However, I believe the only difference between the 3rd and 4th edition, is that 4th edition has the pictures in color. This is nice if you are a visual learner.

hi,

i am very sorry that you didn't get a favorable result. but please don't give up hope.

it will really help if you take a break and relax now. but do plan on taking the exam in the future. you are bound to be successful with diligent work and concentration.

my suggestion would be that you review the theory first and then do as many questions as possible in all the eight categories individually before doing the comprehensive tests. go through all the rationales, follow test taking strategies and evaluate yourself. self analysis is the best way to identify and correct mistakes.

most of all it is very important to develop self confidence. it will help you overcome your nervousness and allows you to think more clearly. this will really be a great help on the day of the exam.

there is an established impediment for sure success and that is by quitting. please be positive, don't give up and expect a positive result the next time.

wishing you all the best!

backaim rn,

I feel happy whenever I read threads here of those who have passed nclex and I feel hurt & sad for those nurses who fails this exam because I know how hard it is. Not only the expense but the time and struggle that a nurse takes for this nclex exam.

Please don't give up, just continue to study and pray, have faith and just try to think that you can overcome it. Remember, so many nurses here did not give up and later on passed nclex.

They were able to do it and I believe that you can also make it next time. Be strong, be brave, have faith, believe in yourself. :smiley_ab

God Bless!!!

Thanks Rockcrawlerbabe!! I really appreciate your concern and advice! It's crazy because I am actually starting to smile and laugh again!:nuke:

First you need to take a few days off to relax and not look at any NCLEX material. Keep away from anyone or anything that might be increasing your sadness or anxiety. Once you have done that, you need to decide how to you want to prepare yourself again for NCLEX. Reading though the posts, you will find that lots of people have passed with Suzannes Plan only.

If you decide not to use Suzanne's Plan, then I would recommend at least a 5 week NCLEX review course with the board of nursing: NCSBN Learning Extension. Make sure to purchase a Prioritization Assignment and Delegation book and complete all questions in the book. For medications review your HESI book and pay attention to High Alert Medications.

Please make sure to include adequate sleep, diet, and exercise in your daily NCLEX studying to help cut down on anxiety. Most of all keep Him first in all that you do. Don't waste time being sad, this is just another bump in the road. A lot of us have failed, but what matters is that you keep trying. I understand your sadness, but you will pass with proper NCLEX preparation. You will be a nurse soon.:monkeydance:

Hey, It's amazing that so many people who trained so hard and do know their stuff end up having to do the NCLEX again. It's not a reflection on your knowledge level, it's a test, and a nerve-wracking one at that.

The thing is to cry a little, get up, dust yourself off a little, and try again!! Odds are that most of the people here who didn't pass the first time, or second, or third... will make excellent nurses. And remember, the patient you're taking care of won't care how many tries it took to pass the NCLEX!!! So hang in there!

Good luck!
