I failed, so frustrated right now

I just found out that I failed. I am so frustrated right now. I feel like such a loser, everyone else I talk to from my class that took it thus far passed and I am the only one that didn't. I don't even feel like picking up that book.

You are not a loser, Take some time off and regroup your thoughts. Good luck for next time but do not give up

Don't give up fate, never call your self a loser, try to relax an please do try for your boards again. You can't always compare yourself to others.

I work with a nurse who failed NCLEX 3 times. She is one of the best nurses I know. Just because you fail the first time does not mean that you cannot go on to become a good nurse. Take a few days off. Relax and go do something fun. Treat yourself. Then get back to the books. The best advice I can give is to practice questions over and over.

You can do this.

Silverdragon102,

Thanks, I'm not ready to give up but I'm also not ready to start studying again. Just tired right now. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

jujufireal,

I am going to try again but I will definitely have to take some time away from the books before I drive myself insane. Thanks for the support.

I was doing the question thing but I think I am going to try Suzanne's plan after I take a few days off. I think I've calmed myself down some now and am trying to think things through. Thanks for the advice.

Hang in there...you are not alone...I'll be taking it for the 5th time...So hang in there...you will be that well deserved RN

(((((hugs))))) I'm sorry.

Lets rephrase it, you didn't "fail", you just didn't pass, yet.

To me, a failure is someone who doesn't try, never is someone who continues to try a failure!!

Take some time to regroup and get yourself psyched up for the next stab at the NCLEX. Don't dive into the books too quick or you will become aggrivated and not want to study.

Keep your chin up. You will pass.

Hey I just want you to know your not a loser...I was in your shoes about 6 months ago. The 1st time I didn't pass my RN boards ,but the second time I did.....Suzzane's plan is what I did the 2nd time and practice alot of questions.....Good Luck and God Bless ........

You sure sound frustrated. I hear your disappointment.:( Sorry to hear you did not do well this time. Glad you've decided to regroup. Keep us posted on your next date for NCLEX so we can help you and give you support.:heartbeat Some of the best nurses where I work failed their boards the first time too and our CNS failed twice before passing! It is no reflection of your intelligence or capabilities as a nurse. It just means they did not ask the question in a way you could answer it correctly. Good luck for the next time and please keep us posted.

Sorry to hear that you did not pass... I am in the same boat.. Took the exam a week ago wendsday and did not pass. Its wasn't easy, and I felt like a failure too.. Now that I had a week to all my angry emotions out.. I have a new look towards the re-take.

I recieve inspirational emails daily and would like to share with you the one I recieved the day I found out I did not pass-I belive it fits for you too..

"It is in our loses and failures that we learn life's most important lessons and grow. Nobody wants to fail, but the only person who has never failed is someone who has never tried. Failure is part of life. It is something we all have to experiance from time to time. Nobody likes to lose and nobody likes to fail. Rather being paralyzed by losing and failing, let them motivate you, learn from your losses and failures so that you don't repeat the mistakes already made. Instead of losing and failing making you weak, let them make you strong!!!!"

Keep the faith, and stay strong.. Good luck in the future...
