I can't even pass the NCLEX what more today that the NCSBN will be making changes on April 1? they'll gonna make the passing rate even HIGHER than before. I don't know how or what am i going to do now with my studying. I already failed the nclex-rn 3 times and I am now preparing for my 4th attempt. any suggestion guys? And any april test takers there that would like to share their feeling or what are they doing to prepare for the exam?
As of April 1, 2013 NCSBN will gonna make changes in their system of NCLEX-RN according to Kaplan Review Center.
NCSBN will gonna change 2 things:
=> Test Plan = [video=youtube_share;GT8Wlp0YOs4]http://youtu.be/GT8Wlp0YOs4
=> Passing Standard = [video=youtube_share;zvKsdLilVbw]http://youtu.be/zvKsdLilVbw
or you can read the Test Plan here = https://www.ncsbn.org/2013_NCLEX_RN_Test_Plan_FAQ.pdf
I made the changes down here more simpler.
Before After
Management of Care 17%-23%---------------------Inc. by 1%
Safety and Infection Control 9%-5%----------------Inc. by 1%
Health Promotion and Maintenance 6%-12%------Same
Psychosocial Integrity 6%-12%-----------------------Same
Basic Care and Comfort 6%-12%----------------------Same
Pharmacological and Parenteral Therapy 12%-18%---Dec. by 1%
Reduction of Risk Potential 9%-15%-------------------Dec. by 1%
Physiological Adaptation 11%-17%--------------------Same
What do you think guys? Are the changes a good thing becasue they decreased the hard part questions by 1% or a bad thing because they'll gonna make the passing standard even higher than before?
