It was in Pharmacology. Most of the time, I have had a very good feeling about things, but not this time. I have become such a perfectionist, so this is going to be hard to deal with. I dont know what I will do if I mess up my 4.0 I have worked so hard for.
I really had a hard time sitting through the lecture afterwards, because I have lost my confidence, but we had to cover 3 chapters, because Thrusday night we will have to cover 4 and then another exam next Tuesday. Like I said, I know this next one wont be so hard.
I guess I will find out for sure Thursday night how I did.

Hang in there! Let us know how it goes. And try to keep things in perspective. After a year or two of being a nurse, it's not likely that anyone will care about your GPA, so does it really matter if it's a 4.0 vs a 3.8? I can tell that you're a very driven person, but try to take it easy on yourself. :)

Maybe you did better than expected! No use in stressing yourself out over possibly nothing. And even if you didn't do so well, it's only one test and there's plenty of other tests to help bring the grade back up! Try to move on and get ready for the next test!
Thank you Eric and Cad. I am trying to pick myself back up. There are only two more exams, so the pressure is on big time. Summer semesters are just way too short, in fact, this is the first time Pharmacology has been offered in a short summer semester, and the instructor said they arent going to do it any more. It will be stretched out over the whole summer.
I am just wondering, should I maybe drop or should I just do the best I can? Next Tuesday is the last day to drop, so it would be too late after the next exam. Hopefully I will make the right decision. I will wait till Thursday and then decide. If I did guess lucky on most of them, and come out with a C, I will definitely stick with it. If it is lower, I probably will drop the class:o .

I'm impressed that you're even trying pharmacology over the summer!
Anyhoo, if it makes you feel any better, I left my chemistry final in tears. I though all my dreams of getting into the nursing program at my school were crushed...I started looking into other options...
The moral of the story is...I got a B! So, you never know. And even if you don't do well on one exam, it's not going to effect you're life. I'm sure you'll do fine in the rest of the class. Doesn't your professor take into account participation, homework, attendence...I'm sure he/she won't let one exam sink you.
Stay strong!!!!

I sure hope you are right about not doing so bad. I just have to keep telling myself, just two and a half more weeks. I am really getting burned out. I have NO life at all. That is why it was so upsetting. I am studying my butt off. I would love to get some exercise, but I dont even feel like I have time for that. See ya in two and a half weeks turbo jam.
Well, it turned out to be a 74 Could have been worse, and I was afraid it was. I still have a B for my overall grade, and I can still pull it up to an A, I think.
Also, she said they had decided to take the project out, so we dont have to do that now. I am seeing a little light at the end of this tunnel.
That's great news....congrats on your grade.....
I tend to always think the worst so that when I get results (like on tests) I'm usually pleasantly surprised....
Hang in there!!!!

Good luck. One test doesn't ruin a 4.0. I made a 75 on a test and still made an A in Statistics.
I feel you though. I think I'm about about to loose my 4.0 this semester myself after 11 straight A's in my RN to BSN I think the Physical Assessment course will do me in. I'm glad. Carrying a 4.0 is too much to bear. :)

If I could keep a 4.0 that long, I would be extatically happy. That is great. I just hope I can make it through my RN.
Thanks. I will stay strong if it doesnt kill me first.
