I have been dismissed from school. I was in a collision then got very ill (bad reaction to meds) and was not allowed to return to school until I got a medical clearance. Than was in Dec/Jan. Now my Dr thinks i need more time for the clinical portion. He says its ok for me to do theory. I got a letter from my school saying that I would have to reapply when i get medical clearance.
I am so upset. I worked my butt off to get in, I moved to another part of the state. I took a pay cut in my job b/c the pay is less in this part of CA. I sold my house. Now I have to reapply because I had to take more than one semester off.

But why is that the school's fault? I guess color me confused here. When your doctor clears you, reapply. This isn't anyone's fault. It happens sometimes. Just get better.

I am sorry you are going through this... Remember when life gives you lemons turn them into Lemonade. Once you are clear keep trying and get yourself back in!

I did not say i am upset with the schools policy. I am upset with the whole situation. Now i will have to retake some of my pre reqs b/c I took them in college when i got my first degree. Also the admissions policy has changed so that everyone that has the min GPA gets in to the lottery.

I am so very sorry about your unfortunate sequence of events. Hopefully your medical issues will resolve in the near future and you can try this nursing school venture again. Good luck to you!
