I have another Microbiology Test on Tuesday ( I got a B on my retest!)
I should be studying. But I have somehow managed to continuously found something else to do. We are moving in less than two weeks. So rightnow my living room looks a mess. I keep getting up to do something. I sit for an hour and study. Then I get up and do stuff for 30mins- 1hr. Then I sit and study. Then I get up and do stuff for and 30 mins-1hr.
The test is on Microbial Genetics (IE. DNA replication, RNA/Protein Synthesis, Mutation, Mutagens, Biotechnology, Genetic Modification, and Viruses.
Sounds exciting Huh?
Not to mention, I have a 1500-2000 word research paper of HPV due on August 2nd. I started it. I have 200 words. I have about 5 good resources so far. I have direction in it. I have it broken down into what parts I want to write it in. Okay, I'm rambling, which is obviously another way in which I am procrastinating. Let me go back to studying. I'm sure I'll be back!

Wow, a research paper for Microbiology class?
I'd be procrastinating too, If I were you.
I never had a paper do in any of my Biology classes
I have a 7 page paper due for my sociology class on Ethiopia and
I have terrible writer's block, I don't even know how to even
begin this tedious task.
I learned in one of my Psyc classes of one way
to get through a task...
Just tell yourself you can do it, and believe it (it worked ounce with me... ironically it was to get through my microbiology class)

Yes! It does so very much! Sorry for being non-topical but I think that is the best thing so far about being in my biology class is that I've become VERY interested in all this stuff! I'm applying to everyday life and trying to figure out why something the way it is when I've never thought about it before. My friends look at me with a strange eye too when I do this but think its neat that I've become so interested in Biology!
Just keep going strong!

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!
Studying a topic you find hard or don't like is difficult. What classes are you good at and what do you find interesting about them? How do you study for them? How can you take those study skills and apply them to microbiology? Sometimes you have to dig and get really creative, but it works.
You need to find something about what you are doing interesting or find a way to relate it to something you find interesting (such and turning chemical bonding into a drama filled love story where Chloride whores around between Sodium and Potassium....)

Keep trucking away at this little by little. My last go-round with school was hectic. I had to assign myself some time each day just for studying and NOTHING was allowed to interfere with it.
Keep your eye on the end of the tunnel.
I find the body so interesting. I find biology interesting. I do find this stuff interesting. I guess my wording shoudl be "fun?" not all things interesting are fun I guess.
I'm trying.
Thanks for the words of advice. :-)

Sometimes the best option is to GET OUT of the House...study somewhere else. It's amazing how much you can find to do at home (or not do...i.e. TV). So I usually go to my favorite little coffee shop and study there...get much more done.
Good luck on your test!

Can I just tell you I hear you on the studying thing? Finding something else to do? I find myself doing the same exact thing and then I am kicking myself for not taking that time to study instead.
Hopefully the move will go smoothly for you and then you'll, once again, be in a comfortable environment...I completely understand how crazy moving is!!!
Good luck to you on the test!! I remember all those things your being tested on!!! We didn't have to do a paper, but a power point presentation that we had to do infront of the class...mine was on Chlamydia.
You'll do fine...just hang in there!!!
