I took HURST and passed NCLEX with 75 questions. I only studied the HURST book. Mind you I read and studied cover to cover. Be sure you know ALL normal labs (K+, Mg+, etc...) and what the signs/symptoms are of the lows/highs. Definately know which pt to see 1st when rounding, when to call the doctor.
But, I did a live HURST Review. It was very informative. I also answered nearly 1,000 practice questions.

I did a live review and now I am going back through each video online now. I just finished with day one. I have until Jan 7. I will take Jan 6th off. I have worked over 1400 prepu questions from LWW site, ATI, Kaplan, Hurst and I am doing better at ATI and Hurst. Then again I only bought the Kaplan book with the CDROM in it. I pray I pass. I thank you for all of your suggestions. :)

I did the live review and then studied the book cover to cover. I listened to a system per day and then did over 100 questions on that topic in Lippincott. After I finished the book I did LaCharity PDA and did the 5th day material stuff. My Hurst scores improved as I went along.
Good pop up you all! I did it!! Thank you!

Laurenray. Lpn or rn exam?
Have in your mind you got this bec confidence increases your mind thinking (I believe in my opinion) and reread each q before you look at answers and see if you can answer it, then look at answers. Look at the stem and ask yourself what is this asking? Is it asking for an intervention or to assess? Stay calm. I believe my school prepared me so well tht it felt like a regular nursing exam to me. Don't focus on your time.
I did Hurst review, I bought the Kaplan new edition book and read a few chapters, I downloaded apps onto my iPhone from different RN sites to answer q's, I made note cards on labs and what to do when they are abnormal, I also used lww the point made by the people who wrote our MedSurg book and answered about 2000 qs. Hoped this helped.
Please respond to me when you get the good pop up. Know you will succeed and never second guess your answer unless you know without a doubt you chose wrong one because thinking too long about a question and answer will most likely have a negative impact.
