hurst review

I purchased hurst review which I think is good for content, not for answering NCLEX style questions.

I failed, I asked for a refund via email, and they are giving me the run around...

I have tried calling them since thursday morning, left multiple voicemails, called all day today and nothing, no operator, no nothing...

very disappointed in hurst in regards to this, i cannot believe they dont have any operators from 8am-6pm? I cant believe it...

Anyways, I am going to give them until Monday afternoon to make this right or I will dispute the charge with my CC company.

It clearly was within their 2 week guidelines, I took every single test, I watched every single video and they dont want to give me a refund, they want me to do a remediation with them, I said via email (my one and only response) I wasnt interested and wanted a refund please.

Havent heard back at all....

dafishman--WOW! I thought that Hurst and Kaplan were the ones you could trust. This is incredible. If you don't get anywhere with them at first, I would threaten to report them to NCSBN. I'm sure that they wouldn't like that even a little bit! This is outrageous and I am looking forward to hear how you get this resolved.

Scared, I have absolutely no reason to lie. Trust me, I am in disbelief.

They still havent even responded to the part where I said, tell me what part I didnt complete! I watched every video, I printed every single thing, I took all 3 PN tests and my scores went up each and every time.

For content, I loved it. For nclex (which I just learned) they did me no good.

Again, no phone calls back, nothing. I left a few voicemails, I have the ticket #. I said all the same stuff in the email.

Sad, they are trying to get around refunding me the $250.00. I dont want to dispute it with my CC, but I will Monday if I have not had a return phone call.

Thursday and Friday and today, no one answered their phones. No one. Always went to a recording. I mean, thats absolutely insane....

Friday, I called Kaplan, took me 2 minutes to get a live person. I tried multiple options with Hurst to get a live person, all went to a recording....

Again, I will update accordingly...But Monday is my deadline for them. I need that money to buy Kaplan. Trust me, if I passed, I would have never of even tried for a refund but thats the guarantee they offer and a big reason I went with them....

Again, happy with content, but I didnt pass, I simply want a refund as they promise.....

Don't misread me-I never thought you lied!! I just think its ludicrous! How the heck can people do business that way. Money back guarantee to me means just that! How awful!

Just an UPDATE:

Capital one has reversed the charge. If they try to re-charge me, they will reverse it and block them. They said some try to re-charge, some dont. So, as of now, the 250 has been credited to my credit card and I am going to do the Kaplan.

I will definitely give an UNBIASED review of Kaplan and if anyone has any questions about HURST, please ask.

I dont hate Hurst, I actually liked them for content. I really did. But, the refund part was a nightmare and something I dont have the time to deal with now and nothing I want to deal with in the future.

One last thing would be trying to reach a live person. I dont understand how a company would not have live people answering their phones for days. That was something I didnt like.

Again, I have no hidden agendas. Questions, comments, I will do my best to answer and be assured it will be truthful.

Quick funny story:

Last week I was so distraught over failing, when I mailed out the garbage bill I apparently forgot to put a stamp on it. I just went to the mailbox and the envelope was in there stating return to sender for postage!

Wow, I was in a funk and I hate to say it but I still am!!!! I chuckled when I seen that!!!!!!

Ya, I hope it will get me over the hump. Plus, I have that lacharity book. So, I will keep fingers crossed and study and study and hopefully get by it!

Its very unfortuante what happen in your case, i myself signed up for Hurst for the first time after using the Saunders and Cram books....so far so good but i knew ahead of time that Hurst's question content was weak and decided to buy the PDA book as well as a Davis for questions....let me know how Kaplan words for you.

Both. I would say 60-40 strategy! You have to know content but you also need to know what they are asking and how to decipher the question.

I took Hurst but since it had been almost a year since I graduated the refund did not apply. After failing I called to let them know and I spoke to a very nice person who set up the remediation program for me. Later I got an email stating Hurst was sorry I didn't pass but to not give up. It offered an additional review of all the videos at a discount. The email was signed as "Aunt Marlene". Like you, I think Hurst is great for content review but I didn't find it beneficial beyond that. Have faith because you (and I) will succeed it's only a matter of time.
