Hello,
Has anyone taken the Hurst review and done the questions? If you have already passed the nclex-Rn, can you tell me what scores you were getting? I think Hurst review is great, but i don't have anything to base my scores on. Any advice would help.
Thanks in advance
Try to read the core content again. Thats what helped me. My lowest q review was 77 and the highest was 87. I took NCLEX on Monday and passed with 75 questions. I have been out of school for six months so I was worried that so much time had passed but the HURST review did it. Make sure to look at the fifth day materials as well.
Hi pebomc
Thankyou for replying. My weakness now is pharma and theres no way for me to know all of them, its too many. Im scared because I was thinking what if i get many pharmacological questions, thats my weakest area and I dont know what to do with pharma. I only have less than 2 weeks before exam.
I have another question, Do you have to get 60% above in different areas like psychosocial needs, basic comfort, physiological needs etc when you take the hurst q bank? As well as when you take nclex? Does it matter?
My other scores were both 59. I had a lot of pharm oriented questions on my test. If you can learn the suffixes for the drug categories that will help you out. The pharm in the Hurst packet is what I concentrated on. I wasn't one of the lucky ones to have the computer shut off at 75 but I think 88 is really good. Test anxiety got the best of me.
By the way, those scores I had on Q-Review were not the percentage. That was how many number of questions I got right. I was concerned about pharma as well. I did not read through all of the meds but the ones I did I read just once and that was it. I had maybe 3 or 4 pharm questions. Had to guess on some of them cause I was not sure.On Hurst they say you should aim for 84 out of 125 questions. That includes all the different areas.

The Hurst website states that 84/125 may be enough. That would be 67.2%. Don't be frustrated at your percentages...read and memorize all the rationale for the questions you miss!
