Hello Pasadena, CA nurses!
QUESTION: I will be starting the new graduate program at Huntington Memorial Hospital, what should I expect? Is there anything you can tell me about the program/hospital that would help me?

Hey MiracleRN21,
I'll be starting the new grad program on Monday as well! Really excited to meet everyone and nervous to start. The schedule seems vague but (hopefully) manageable. Which unit will you be on??
Really? What unit are you going into? I'm really excited/nervous too!! I'm going onto the med/oncology unit. Yay! I'm glad I was able to meet someone on here that starting monday! haha!

Congratulations to both of you. Where did you guys go to school? ADN? BSN?
I'll be in the Cardiothoracic unit :). It's nice to meet you.. look forward to meeting you in person! We're supposed to meet in the HR department right? I remember being told to meet there between 0730-0745 but they never sent us any emails or anything with confirmation details.
StudentNurseMichael: Thank you! I went to school at West Coast University & graduated with my BSN. (:
hell0ooonurse: Oh nice! I look forward to meeting you in person too. What's your name? lol. You don't have to give a full, of course. Yes, we need to be in the HR dept. at 0730-0745. Would you happen to know someone who is looking for a roomie around pasadena? lol. I live more east and traffic is horrible in the morning going west.

Congratulations on getting hired! I am graduating in June and am really interested in Huntington Hospital. How did the hiring process work there and when did you apply? Also, did you both rotate through Huntington while you were in school? Thanks for your help and good luck!
vicb: thank you! I would recommend you network with people in the hospital and maybe even volunteer so you can meet new people. I unfortunately did not have clinical rotations while I was in school. My tip is to be persistent and ask as many questions as you can with the people you form relationships with.

Hi congrats to everyone! I'm starting the program in August and I'm nervous because I don't know what to expect. How is the training and the first weeks of orientation?
