Congrats jesusgal1023!!! so exciting. good luck on NCLEX! passing it is an even better feeling, which I'm sure you will with no problem! and thank you for letting us know about the parking. I didn't want to have to take the shuttle. boobear0306- that is funny! our graduating class wasn't that big so I'm sure I'll recognize you if I see you. maybe I'll even run into you on friday lol. what is everyone doing to prepare for the interview? do you think there will be clinical questions? I am so hoping it will be informal too...

I live close to LA but went to nursing school in San Diego. You can try The Grove and do some shopping while you wait. There's also a farmer's market near there :-)

Mine is on friday as well at 4pm. I haven't seen the unit yet and no additional information was given to me during my initial interview. I received the same exact email. I'm nervous too and have no idea what to expect either... regardless whether we have experience in the PICU or not I'd like to think they saw something in us to want us to come back right?? ah! I hope we all do extremely well and take a liking in us and we all end up working together!

@Wnurses mine is on Fri. How about yours? When I went to interview there were about 3 ahead of me for PICU. Not sure how many went after me though...

Just an update- I interviewed today and I asked how many they were planning on hiring and they said they weren't even sure! But they have already contacted a few applicants back to tour the unit this week and meet some of the nurses on the floor.

I'm interviewing for PICU this upcoming Tuesday. This will be my very first interview and am just so thankful for the opportunity. Any advice or tips on the type of questions that will be asked? I'm a nervous wreck and would greatly appreciate it!!! Good luck to us all!

just wondering to those who interviewed for PICU, what about it was tough? having a limited amount of time for the interview or questions you didn't expect? I'm sure you all did well... crossing my fingers for all of you!

if we get a call and picked units from both sites, do we always have the option of choosing which site we would like to interview for or do they choose for us?
