  1. Wow! Amen, NikkiC213. That was inspirational for me as well. I'm so happy! To God be the glory. He is the maker of all and one who can move mountains. What may have seemed impossible, is ALWAYS possible with Him. Keep your eyes focused on Him. Seek Him FIRST, and ALL these (other) things will be added onto you. :loveya:
  2. cait557: I'm so happy I was able to inspire you! I'm sure you've already taken your NCLEX & if you passed, CONGRATS!!!!! If not, keep your head up. You have come so far and will pass when the time is right. We may not always understand why but we gotta keep being positive because that's what's going to get us by.
  3. Hello Dominicosmama (Aileen & precious boys :)), WCU is a great school if you want to get things done. Time is money. Sooner you get it done, the sooner you start making the means to pay school back and continue to provide for your little ones. I am in debt, thats for sure. It's really expensive but I see education as an investment. WCU has had some bad reviews because it is pretty new and still trying to stabilize themselves I guess (that goes for any new schools, in my opinion). But I think West Coast has really come a long way. Also this is a fast-paced program so you get what you put in. Many people I think, expect to be spoon fed and given more time to learn but ultimately, control most of your learning, esp. at WC. I went to school with a couple women who worked full time (12 h shifts, 3 times a week), had a couple children and still graduated with honors. I have all the faith you can do it. Nursing is such a great field because you have many options. If you have any other questions or advice you can message me here, or PM me also. :) I'll try my best to respond as timely as possible. Good luck with everything!
  4. Hello nursenursingnursed, Sorry for the really late reply. I haven't logged on in a while. I hope you're enjoying the new grad program. I'm sure since it's already started, you have a feel for what its like. :) Congratulations!! Post back if you have any questions! :)
  5. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :w00t:
  6. Practice HOW to answer questions. (:
  7. Please, do not get discouraged with those scores. 50's are still good. Read all rationales- wrong and right ones. Understand WHY you're getting them wrong and HOW to answer those types of questions right the next time. [Need to review content? Reading too fast? (Which is a mistake many, including myself make and miss easy questions)]
  8. vicb: thank you! I would recommend you network with people in the hospital and maybe even volunteer so you can meet new people. I unfortunately did not have clinical rotations while I was in school. My tip is to be persistent and ask as many questions as you can with the people you form relationships with.
  9. healthstar: Thank you so much! Graduating is super exciting! I'm excited for you. :) Good luck in everything!
  10. jpinay28: Thank you! (: Yownyown: Thank you and you're very welcome! God bless!
  11. mommyof2Tees: You're very welcome & thank you so much! :) ships: Thank you and you're welcome! I know I keep saying this, but I can't tell you how happy it makes me feel knowing that I can help inspire/motivate someone. Praying for you and your exam!! God bless!
  12. lc1028: I'm so happy I was able to help someone. (: Staying positive and praying is the best thing you can do! My prayers for you are coming your way. Let me know how it goes. YOU GOT THIS!!!! :) Dragonfly777: Litizie, you are definitely in my prayers as well! I'm sure it can be really discouraging but keep up the good fight. Just as @darengibo posted.. "God carried you this far, He is not going to drop you now". We don't always understand why things happen..but keep up your faith in the One who provides all and when He sees fit you will pass. YOU WILL PASS THIS TIME. 3rd time is a charm. Let me know how it goes after, as well. RDay4Peds: :w00t: congratulations on passing the boards and landing your dream job!!!! Super happy for you! Thank you for posting more advice and inspiring words for others to read on here. I heard the ATI course was really good too. My school used some of ATI as well. I 100% agree with looking at every rationale; wrong and right. Good luck with everything, RN! :redpinkhe
  13. Nursein2011: Thank you! That's so awesome!! Congratulations! (: shash010: Thank you! oh my, i'm sure! I really hope you find something soon. Keep staying positive and persistent. danielalosey: have you tried volunteering at a mental health hospital/clinic? i've seen a couple openings on indeed for new grad openings in mental health hospitals. meanwhile, trying to get all your certificates is a great way to keep busy. Thank you so much for your prayers! I'm really excited/nervous. I'll keep you in my prayers too! Yes, (Jeremiah 29:11).
  14. StudentNurseMichael: Thank you! I went to school at West Coast University & graduated with my BSN. (: hell0ooonurse: Oh nice! I look forward to meeting you in person too. What's your name? lol. You don't have to give a full, of course. Yes, we need to be in the HR dept. at 0730-0745. Would you happen to know someone who is looking for a roomie around pasadena? lol. I live more east and traffic is horrible in the morning going west.
