Okay, so I've noticed in the past 8 months since starting in the medical field that I swear a lot more than I used to. Er, I should say, it comes OUT a lot more. I'm sure I was swearing before but it just wasn't out loud!
Got me thinking: what quirks have you "inherited" as a direct result of you working in the medical field?
I know that since I started working ER my kids are tired of coming to me with little "growing pains" or stomach aches or whatever and having me say, "Okay honey, we'll keep an eye on it." They figure they need to be missing a limb before I'll respond!
I also have a bigger potty mouth than ever before but manage to keep it curbed around my kids, dad and in-laws.

I have gotten more cynical definatly, and I always thought of myself to be a shining ray of optimisim (even to my detriment).
As far as the cussing, I used to be in the ARMY as a tracked vehicle repairman (worked on tank engines). I don't swear nearly as much as I used to there.
