I have recently applied for a position with Humana. I have read a lot of negative comments on glass door from previous employees, but not much information on RNs that work for Humana. Can anyone give any insight?
Thanks so much,
Cindy
Fraga11,
It looks like you are much further along than I am! I just started applying last week and have not heard anything yet. I've done a lot of research and I see good and bad reviews. If I get an interview, I will have plenty of questions for them about the metrics and their expectations of employees. It seems a lot of people complain about keeping up with the metrics. I'm not afraid of hard work, but I also want to provide appropriate patient care.
How long did it take for you to hear back after you applied? When does your training start and where will you go? I would love any feedback you care to share and I will keep you posted if I hear from them!
MrsVic1,
I too have read a lot of mixed reviews. More specifically in regards to the metrics. I was informed by my hiring manager that you will have a certain caseload and it is expected of you to complete it within a certain time frame. However, nothing unrealistic from what they esplained. I am switching gears from a high acuity intensive care unit to this position, so I know it will be an adjustment. But I am defenitly looking forward to it! The interview process took about a month from the time I applied online, to the first telephone interview, second face to face interview and receiving an official offer. So far it has been a smooth process. Training starts next month, where I was told is completely remote. Very excited to start this new chapter in my career! Good luck to you! Would love to hear how it goes for you.
:)
How exciting! Good luck and I would love to hear more after you start. I read that you go away for training, so remote training sounds convenient. I'm glad to hear how long the hiring process took, I get worried when I don't hear! Do you mind me asking if you have prior Case Management experience? I have experience in everything else, but CM will be new. I was hoping that wouldn't influence their decision to interview me.
I wish you the very best on this new adventure! Keep me posted!
Yes, they took a while to get in contact with me at first. As far as case management experience.. Extremly light experience. So light that I do not even have it on my resume. I have experience in many areas of nursing but case management. I did work very closely with case management at a prior job and learned many many things, but never acted alone in that role. I was very honest with them, explained what I did know in CM and expressed my willingness to learn the rest!
