I'm starting human anatomy next week, and would love to get a sticky started to keep each other sane. I'm a bit nervous about starting this class, as I really need an A, but work full-time and will also be taking abnormal psych. It's going to be a lot of work!
Let's help each other out through this forum! :welcome:
So, when are you starting, where are you taking it, and how are you feeling?
Hey all! I will be taking A & P 1 and II in the summer 07. I know it's going to be a lot of work, especially over a summer program, but it's the only chance I get to take A & P by itself and everyone here at my school says to take it alone rather than with the nursing clinicals and other courses because it's just too much on top of all the other courses. What's your experiences with A & P so far? How can I prepare myself to succeed well in A & P I and II? I am hopeful that I get accepted into nursing in the Fall 08 program. Have met all my pre-reqs but one class which I am taking this spring 07 (providing I pass Chem with at least a C and so far I feel it's very doable). I think I have a B right now. Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!
I got 100% on my third practical. This makes me so happy. We had 70 blank lines to identify muscles on models and cats, and we had 90 sec to identify three muscles. Also, we had histology and about 10 questions on muscle functions. On more exam and one more practical to go and I am done. I love this class.
Hi there. Congrats on your test score! I used to live in AZ until 1999. Lived there most of my life until I moved to the East Coast. Where are you in AZ? What area of nursing do you think you are most interested in? I should know by March 08 whether I have been accepted into the nursing program. I hope I make it. I live in Upstate NY (outside of Ithaca). Boy, it was a HUGE change for me moving here from AZ, but that's another story for another day! Your post just caught my eye because of your geographic location.
Best of luck to you!
Hey gang it's me again,
I have been sending my notes and PowerPoints to a lot of you and I am hoping that they are helping you succeedin your AP classes. I am going to post several AP related websites that as well might help each of you get to know the subject better. Good luck to all.
I hope that at least one of these helps you succeed. Good luck and I will keep on sending those notes to those who ask.
Thank you for being so willing to share your information and knowledge with us, it's so nice to have a bit of support. This program is so competitive, it can be kind of discouraging at times.
I have bookmarked some of the links you posted. We are studying the brain/CNS now, so I'm sure they will be very helpful. :)

Here are the notes I have from that area of study. If they are useful and something you would like to use as a study tool, please feel free to do so. You are welcome for the assistance. I know that schools are VERY competitive and it only takes one missed step in a grade to cause someones chances to getting in slighted. So anyway that I can help I am more than happy to.
KEEP ON STUDYING ...You all will do GREAT;)

Congrats! I hope I do as well when I take A & P in the summer! By the way, where in NY do live. I'm in Ithaca, NY. How about you?
The link below saved my bacon learning the cranial nerves. Maybe others know about this already, but I didn't. It helped tremendously! Helped me get 102 on the exam! Hope it helps!

I just took my muscles test for A&P lab and it was ridiculously hard; i just blanked out and i couldn't remember the insertions of some of the muscle and what's funny, those happened to make the bulk of the test. Anyways,we get to drop the lowest grade out of the four tests we take for the semester and so i better keep my eyes intently on the light at the end of the tunnel and maybe i'll do well on the next test which will be on the nervous system. Does anyone know of any resources or website that might be helpful to me?
