I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?

Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

Woohoo! Congrats! I think you only fill out the Summer forms if you had classes in the Summer so HRSA can backpay you. Otherwise just have your school fill out the fall. Definitely get them filled out ASAP!

You might want to check last year's thread to see for sure unless someone here can give you feedback. I'm assuming there might be a few who did in the past because the credit check isn't a "guarantee" necessarily.

Yup that’s correct! And you can’t get someone from your nursing department to sign off, you can get someone from the financial aid department to.

I think you can get a department chair to sign off. Also the registrar's office or financial aid. Nobody has had issues with their nursing chair signing off that I know of. At least I haven't had any issues!

OMG that was my mistake, I meant to write if you can’t get anyone from the nursing dept. then you can have someone from financial aid to sign off if you can ? ??‍♀️

Yes, absolutely. They were pretty quick with me. Had my paperwork back in 2 days.

Heart is starting to break a little, but trying to remain positive. Also had a credit check earlier August but have not heard anything. ?. As I mentioned earlier this thread, I applied for this scholarship last year and received it but had to terminate the contract due to having to unenroll from classes because I couldn't take the risk and count on receiving the scholarship if I had no other way to pay. Can't see why they'd give me the scholarship last year and not this year ?
