HRSA 2021-2022

I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?

Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

I received a credit check inquiry this morning, but no email yet. I checked my account and it still says under review. Anyone know if getting a credit check pretty much means youll get the finalist email? My EFC is 0.

I believe it is a factor but my guess is they extended the scholarship to get more applicants since Biden sweeten the pot.

I am in the same situation. While I do not know the percentage of those who received credit checks and were subsequently selected as finalists, I do see from reading previous years threads that applicants did often receive the email several days after the initial credit check.

I applied on the last day as well hoping that’s the only reason I haven’t heard anything yet!??

I had no idea about the finalist emails I thought you got the scholarship or you didn’t. I got my finalist email today and was so excited but now I’m worried. What are the requirements for moving past the finalist stage and receiving the scholarship how do they decide which finalists get the awards?

I got a credit check this morning! I'm a BSN student I applied early but changed my essay on the last day so I think it counts as applying on the 26th :/ Crossing my fingers! Credit check was done at 11:30am but haven't received an email or status change. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations to everyone that received a credit check, and finalist email. I'm still patiently waiting. I trust God will make a way for the rest of us that's waiting. I wonder if this concludes the first wave. I was feeling so discouraged yesterday checking my credit, email, and portal nothing changed. I know God is in control putting it all into his hands all it takes is a mustard seed of faith! 

My efc is in the 4 thousands

I am enrolled in a BSN program (as of Spring 2021) 3.7 GPA, lots of volunteering with underprivileged and rural communities, also I was the Nursing student of the year for 2020-2021 ( and guess what I was pregnant during the semester)

Praise God! I submitted all the paperwork (W4 & enrollment verification) accepting the scholarship, and signed the contract. Now just waiting for the Secretary of NHS to sign it! God is good... God is AMAZING!
