I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?
Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

Hopefully, we hear back soon. Last year, I got my denial letter in September 17. It’d be nice to hear back sooner!
May I ask what is different from this year as far qualifications. In other words what is different from last year. I hope you get it this year. I’m asking because I don’t know anyone that was denied the scholarship

The only difference that I noticed this year that was a big change was the program requiring three essays as opposed to two this year. And also how they said they had increased funding! I can’t even remember if the deadline was extended. But thank you, same to you and everyone else in here!
And yeah the email was actually very short and brief but I had heard a lot of people saying they were finalists by the time I got the email (reading the forum and knowing people who received it). But the latest someone I personally know heard back about finalist status was in August!
My EFC was higher last year, more than the first tier threshold, and I definitely think that played a part in my overall application. Now, I’m in the range for the first tier!
