Hello all,

I'm starting this thread for the new applicants for the hrsa nursing scholarship 09-10. Tor prettylady, I think its a random selection. Its the luck of the draw.

it works now. they probably received more applications this year as they are waiting til the end to finalize awards.. booo

You got this from the call center? So that means that now we don't know when to expect a letter by since they won't arrive by the 30th?

They also got more money a month or so ago, so processing those extra recipients is probably whats taking longer than last year....

Yes apparently it will be after the 30th. They are dealing with a LOT of people.

Congrats to everyone that was chosen for the scholarship! Hopefully I will be just as lucky (fingers crossed)...I'm still waitng! :-(

who said we would receive a letter? i thought that they said if we didnt hear by today then we could assume the worst? well, i guess we will see what happens today, sigh

I actually gave up on the scholarship about a week ago, and rolled my school acceptance over to the spring. I got the contact information of a person who worked for HRSA and found out that they actually sent out 200-300 emails instead of 100. She also told me that so far I was not on any of the lists. She did tell me that I still had a shot and not to give up hope, but I had to give my school a yay or nay that same day. Congrats to the students who wore contacted already and my prayers goes to the students who are still waiting....Good luck everyone!

i just called HRSA, they said notifications are being sent via e-mail today, and that they have already started sending them. good luck everyone! you will know today
