Hello all,

I'm starting this thread for the new applicants for the hrsa nursing scholarship 09-10. Tor prettylady, I think its a random selection. Its the luck of the draw.

Yes... I have a OMB# and expiration date... :)

That has been there from the begining... Far as I can tell... I've been logging in for the last 3 months... Lol. :)

I noticed I was assigned an OMB number...did everyone get one of these? Mine says it expired july 30, 2009.

I don't nescessarily know that the OMB is anything individualized, but rather just that particular form's number. OMB stands for "The Office of Management and Budget" and OMB numbers pertain to any government agency that is collecting data from the public. The O.M.B. # that shows up on the bottome of my page is 0915-0301 / Exp. Date : July 31, 2009. It's been there for a long time. I also noticed that that there is an OMB # on the login page is different. Is anyone else seeing a different number?

I see OMB:0915-0140

Expiration Date:1-31-2011 on the sign in page and have the same number as you on my status page. OK, so I wont get my hopes up based on that! lol

I think we re all going crazy and looking for things to get our hopes up! Goodness knows I am! That's how I know about the OMB numbers...I looked up what they were months ago:lol2: Good luck to us all still! Hopefully we'll find some news out next week.

Yeah... I saw that on the log-in page... The date "is" different from before...

I can't login into my account either! It says my account is locked. It makes me nervous. Sheesh.

She asked for me to show proof that I had my background checked and that I was a full time student.

I read the hrsa website to understand what "rankings" mean. It says that they are putting all applicants in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd funding preferences. 1st being that efc is zero and a fulltime student. If there are more applicants in this group then funding they will randomly pick awardees until the money is gone. I'm hoping that they have a answer by the end of this week.

Ok, I have a question about the credit check... (Yes, I am back on that, and going crazy too. Walking by faith is hard!!)

khervey, did you have your credit checked?

Those that did have their credit checked, do you currently have student loans in defferment or repayment?

I have 3-4 loans with different servicers, and the most recent I took out this past April. I didn't have my credit checked but am in the first funding group, and have confirmed that they got my paperwork on time. I am thinking that maybe they didn't pull my credit since I so recently took a loan that they had the info availble...... Grasping at straws here.....

Are stafford loans considered deferred loans?

Yes, my credit was checked in August I believe. I do currently have student loans that are in deferrment.
