HRSA Nursing Scholarship

Anyone here applying or applied to the HRSA Nursing Scholarship? Looking for any input regarding the app process. I've already applied, but I have to get all the documents out to them.

I applied as well, have not heard anything yet. i called the call center on the 10th and they told me they have not made their selection yet. i wish everyone good luck!

Hi,

I have also applied to the HRSA nursing scholarship. For those out there that have been accepted in the past, I have the following questions:

1. Were you able to get a job at a good hospital?

2. I am planning on applying to a few Nurse Residency Programs, do hospitals that are conisdered "underpriveledged" according to the this program have nurse residency programs that anyone knows of?

3. How was the support system for new nurses at these hospitals?

Hi everyone, just heard about this program while searching for financial aid, what are the requirements? is it income based?

when you fill out a fafsa, your estimated family contribution must be "0". you can still apply if you have a EFC is over that, but they have never given a scholarship to anyone who wasnt a zero.

Hey I am applying this year for the scholarship - can one of you please say when you finally heard back??? I am already anxious - and it isn't even May!!!

The thread stops around the end of August - did you guys start hearing back then?

We didn't all get notified until sometime in October. I'd get used to being reeeeeeal patient, if I was you! Good luck, though...this scholarship has been a lifesaver!
