HRSA Nursing Scholarship

I applied for the upcoming year, but since my EFC isn't 0, I'm not holding my breath.

I applied as well, and recently sent in all the supplemental forms. I won't hold my breath either, as it is a very competitive scholarship, but I am in the first preference category. I really would not like to rely on student loans as I already have previous stafford loans deferred! Good luck to all applicants!! :up:

i received the scholarship starting last year....there is no rhyme or reason to who they pick after meeting the first preference...i think it is luck of the draw.....only suggestion would be to watch your email that you provided them...i received an email stating i needed to print out forms, get the school business office to fill out their information, get my bank to fill in their information and fax it back into them....i had to have this done within two days...and i did check my email the day it was sent... so if you do not check your email daily you might run the risk of not getting the information back to them....i heard several people say that they found it in their email the day it was due by and therefore were knocked out of the running for the scholarship. this information has to be faxed back to them. also...this is not the supplemental forms that you were asked to fill out if you met first preference...didn't want anyone mixing up the two.

the scholarship really has been a god send....well worth the stress :sasq:of getting it, but it is really competitive and good luck to all those that have applied.
