Has anyone received notification about whether or not they got an 07-08 HRSA Nursing Scholarship yet? (I know it says late-september)
If you are on the first funding tier has your file been reviewed? Mine says no review has been done on it yet and I turned everything in on time. I have already called the folks at HRSA and they just said wait...
I don't know what is going on, this is like the blind leading the blind.
To check your application status, login and and click on "view application status" scroll down to the bottom and your thing should say received NO REVIEW.
For whatever reason, they haven't reviewed anything, and refuse to give any information regarding funding preference levels, etc.
There are no supervisors to talk to, and it is like the crazy people are in charge of the mental facility.
There is no accountability within the HRSA it seems. Since it is a federal program (i.e. federal tax dollars fund the program) there should be safeguards to prevent this sort of scholarship applicant "abuse" that we've all been put through. It is "abuse" do to constant miscommunication with applicants, no one to complain to, no way to satisfactorily resolve problems, and so forth.
Here is to transparent and accountable government agencies and programs.
That is so strange - since the application deadline has passed, when viewing the page, I see no log on option. Can someone provide the link you use to to access the log in screen? I was told by one agent that they did not receive all my supplemental docs, to be told by another agent soon after that they have no way of knowing that because they can't look that far into my file???? I wouldn't expect more from a government agency.
Is it possible this whole HRSA thing is an elaborate ruse?
Seriously though, it is such an awesome opportunity but I have never met or heard of a single person who has ever actually received it. Same goes for the IHS/Indian Affairs Loan repayment program. Has anyone known anyone who actually participated and got the "up to 20k a year" reimbursed per year of service?
It is discouraging. I hope someone can confirm that it does, in fact, exist soon!
It does indeed really exist. There are posts from previous years with people that received the HRSA scholarship. I tried contacting a few of them but they never wrote back to me. My school has also had people with this scholarship.

The last I heard----anyone that is going to receive the scholarship will be notified this coming week through snail mail.....patience has never been one of my best virtues
