Has anyone received notification about whether or not they got an 07-08 HRSA Nursing Scholarship yet? (I know it says late-september)
If you are on the first funding tier has your file been reviewed? Mine says no review has been done on it yet and I turned everything in on time. I have already called the folks at HRSA and they just said wait...
maybe the school you're attending does not have the accreditation needed for first preference? I'm just guessing here. When you graduate will you have your RN? If not that may be another reason.
Call tomorrow if you haven't figured it out. I spoke with a very nice girl that put me on hold to ask other people questions and stayed on the line waiting until she received a fax from me.

I did a search and found it. Looks like they want your right arm and leg for it tho. I would be scared to sign up. What if I did and the only "elidgable" place was in TimBuckToo? I'm wanting to go into N-ICU. Hmmm
I have not received a letter nor has my status on the website changed. maybe next week. I have looked up last years forums on HRSA and they were notified on Sept 14th and 15th.
Yes, good luck to all. I, too, am waiting to hear. I was wondering if anyone had any information on the "critical shortage facilities"? I'm guessing most hospitals around the country would qualify, no?
I haven't heard anything either and am patiently waiting for a FINAL answer...
Spoke to a few people from the center when I was desperately trying to get those payment forms in before the 2 day deadline. Everyone has a different story to tell you over there! I asked them if I could have an extension since my school flat out refused to have it ready for me by the next day...The call center told me there was NO way they could extend the deadline, they didn't care that my school wouldn't cooperate...blah, blah, blah.. that if it wasn't in by the deadline, you were out.
After I had pretty much given up, the head of accounting called to tell me she faxed it to the bank and would fax the form to HRSA for me right then and there.
I hope that we all get this scholarship, because at this point I am just emotionally drained from this whole experience! Just keep praying!

I had to sit with my business office rep to make sure she had their bank fax over the paperwork to HRSA too lol. It has been a mental rollercoaster hasn't it. I look on that critically-manned nursing list all the time, and I see alot of local area hospitals on it so I hope I get this scholarship as well....good luck puppylover
