Has anyone received notification about whether or not they got an 07-08 HRSA Nursing Scholarship yet? (I know it says late-september)

If you are on the first funding tier has your file been reviewed? Mine says no review has been done on it yet and I turned everything in on time. I have already called the folks at HRSA and they just said wait...

yes - this is what the bulletin says

"Changes In Schools/Programs

Changes in schools or nursing programs are strongly discouraged once the applicant has been accepted into the Nursing Scholarship Program. Changes in schools/programs must be approved, in advance, to ensure continued eligibility for funding. Funding will be based on the initial school of record for all academic year contracts executed during Fiscal Year 2008. For example, if the 2008-2009 tuition of the initial school of record is $10,000 and the tuition of the proposed transfer school is $15,000, then the Nursing Scholarship Program may not have the additional funding of $5,000. to pay the scholar’s full tuition at the proposed transfer school. Therefore, students should carefully consider the financial implications of school/program transfers"

Hi, I have a question about the HRSA scholarship. The school I put down on the initial application I will not be attending. If I am chosen for the scholarship will they allow me to change my school. I listed Mercer on the application but decided to go to another school because of the cost. The other school I chosed is only 2K a year vs. 20K per year at Mercer. Will they allow me to change it?

I really do not think they will allow it....it states the schools must be approved in advance.

For those of you who received the scholarship last year should I be checking my email or regular mail for notification? I read some posts that said they received an email first and had to mail in some paperwork within 48 hours? Can you clarify for me please? I read you had to have the bank information sent again even though you already supplied banking information with the initial application. I am confused.
