2012-2013 HRSA Nursing Scholarship Application

The application process hasn't even started yet but I didn't even find out about last year's scholarship until a couple days before the deadline. I did get my application in on time but was not fortunate enough to be a recipient. I intend to apply again for the upcoming scholarship. Any tips from those that were accepted? My EFC is 0, I'm in an undergraduate program, and my GPA is 3.4.

I'm accelerated too!! Yay- I dont know anyone since I just moved here. I'm kinda excited to start but have gotten spoiled relaxing all summer and I know things are going to get crazy busy.

Where did you move from? Have you joined the Facebook group for NYU's ABSN Fall 2012? I just joined and it's filled with a lot of students in the program :)

From Houston. I am the last person on the planet to not use Facebook haha. So I didn't join the group, but hopefully I will figure everything out when school starts.

Ok, so I heard that they will be converting our pages to portals soon (2-3 days/next week) - did anybody's page change yet?

Whoa that would be awesome if that's true. I know I'm not the only one on here checking daily like a crazy person haha. I literally wake up every morning and log on to see if there's any news.... and then a few more times throughout the day. It sure will be nice to quit driving myself nuts over it.

This information was given to me from a representative from the call center. He also said we are to receive our official letter through the mail with instructions on how to access our portal. And that our pages are currently in the process of turning into portal pages.

I really hope this is true. It almost feels like they are playing with our emotions or something. I know they must be super busy and all but ugh, i'm just so impatient with this. I guess thats my problem, huh? Impatient. LOL.

I actually deleted my account a while ago but rejoined just for that group ONLY. I don't use it anymore, too much info out there. My ex was from Houston...my favorite is Austin though! I would move there in a heart beat. I'm obsessed with the Galleria mall in Houston though, it's so amazing! Are you living in the city?

I'm living in Jersey City. I like it so far. Just different not hopping in my car to go somewhere and I know this winter I am going to freeze to death haha. Yea, Austin is great. Did you get your books for classes yet? I think I got what i needed, but everyone at the bookstore seemed as confused as I was.
