2012-2013 HRSA Nursing Scholarship Application

The application process hasn't even started yet but I didn't even find out about last year's scholarship until a couple days before the deadline. I did get my application in on time but was not fortunate enough to be a recipient. I intend to apply again for the upcoming scholarship. Any tips from those that were accepted? My EFC is 0, I'm in an undergraduate program, and my GPA is 3.4.

So the website is back up, but there are no changes to my award status. Anybody have anything to add or see a change in their status? I was just hoping that the maintenance meant something....

No change in my status either. I also thought/hoped that the maintenance meant something, but it didn't for me either :/

They are torturing me! Currently 12:22pm here in Puerto Rico. I have class from 2-10pm so hopefully by the time I get back home tonight, my final notification of my award will be posted. We already got the award letter, so why is it so hard to finalize it? Ahhhhh.

Nothing??? This is so frustrating.....I got a work study job in financial aid, but they still cant help without an official letter....nonsense....

Is anyone else starting to think we misunderstood the whole 'notification by August 31'?? Maybe the email we got earlier this month was our notification? It's just so hard-and I know you guys are feeling the same way- because I feel like I can't relax or feel confident that I am getting the scholarship for sure until they send out something else. Has anybody called them recently?

WOW! am I glad I checked on here and discovered I'm not the only one who is freaking. I got the email telling me "Congratulations! You have been selected for a 2012 Nursing Scholarship Program (NSP) Award. You are one of approximately 350 individuals to be selected for a scholarship out of 2,720 who applied. "

and i IMMEDIATELY turned in the final stuff and have been driving myself NUTS waiting for the status to change! I can't wait to go from working full time to part time so i can focus more on school! (I'm an RN student not a BSN or MSN like most of you-though I planning to get MSN in Administration). I've been freaking over the wording on the site that says you are not "guaranteed an award" and afraid I'm going to be slammed on my butt with not getting it in the end! I hope they send our final stuff shortly because tomorrow is the end of the month!

I checked this same post for last year and they were all notified around september 22.I think there's some more waiting...

yeah I was just looking at last years post too. from what I read, we are good if we got our email and got the info in (w-4, bank info, ect) and this extreme freaking out many of us are doing is a yearly occurrence lolol:banghead:
