I heard that last year's cut off limit was around $5,500 but a nurse received the reward with an SAI of 12,000 but she was in school for her masters.
So, I'm not sure if the SAI limits differ for each Tier.
Okay that makes sense ! I might be in the more competitive pool since I'm undergrad and my high SAI makes me so nervous 😣 I just hope they consider my application 🙏🏻 thanks for your input I really appreciate it 💕
I have a bachelors in kinesiology, and nursing is my second degree, does anyone have experience/more knowledge than me as it pertains to the scholarship? I didn't see anything about second degree when reading about it. Just want to know if anyone knows how/if it affects anything. Thanks!
It sounds like you already have a degree. However, HRSA is Only concerned with the degree you are pursuing now which has to be a nursing degree. Some past applicants have had degrees in other fields but changed to nursing and have received this scholarship. HRSA just wants to know that you are going to an accredited College or University and that there Accreditation is not provisional. Besides that I wouldn't worry about having a previous degree because this scholarship is only Given to Prospective Nurses or Nurses obtaining a higher degree. HRSA only ask for Verification of the Nursing School that the student must start on or before September.
Hope this helps

From what I saw in last year's 2024 Nurse Corps thread, the timing was pretty similar. The latest application submission I came across was around May 2nd, and the earliest mentions of applications going "under review" were between May 10th–12th. That said, some people who submitted early still had "submitted" statuses well past the deadline, and the same went for late submitters, so it really varied. If the deadline was around May 2nd, most status updates seemed to happen within 1–3 weeks after. But I'm hoping since everything seems to be moving quickly, we hear back sooner. Wishing everyone the best of luck! ❤️

thanks for offering help! wish you the best this round! Do you mind sharing your SAI when you got awarded for your BSN? and how early did you get your award email? also how was it looking for a job after you graduated?
