Hey y'all, looking forward to hearing from yall. The Nurse Corps application for 2025 should open up anytime now!

I'm in an ADN and wanna do ICU then CRNA but I have a bachelors degree in kinesiology so IDK if that effects anything

I haven't seen a single MSN or NP student get anything yet. I am also one. I also did not have an academic reference and under the regular nurse corps application when I submitted it. I didn't notice it had to be an academic one. I noticed it when I was about to apply for the other scholarship for providers. I had called in and asked if it actually had to be academic or would I be disqualified. The rep I talked to said it had to be an academic reference or I'd be disqualified. So I didn't put in my application. Now I'm wishing I would've just tried.

Im in a second degree MSN program, I too want to do ICU, trauma ICU to be specific, and want to be a CRNA in the end. I've been an EMT for 20 years now, and want to go next level. I hope you make it there even if this scholarship falls through. My second degree is an MBA. I don't know if that matters either. The NCSP is a strage animal. I know the VA has a similar program, but they didn't do it this year for some reason. Look into that as well. It's the VA HPSP program. Best to you, and all you future nurses out there. I'm thinking of starting a new thread for all of us to have support through our programs. We've got this!!
Don't feel bad. NP Students are Tier 3 and any funding left over goes to us. So, All RN students get first dips than they look at us. But How many NP Students have negative SAI's anyway. And the Facebook group I'm in about the Nurse Corps spot particularly RN Student awards are still being given out

Technically I'm an NP student with a negative SAI (wish I wasn't)…..-1500. Single mom and I live in a very costly living area, but notoriously low paying wages (Tennessee). I wish I would've just tried to apply for the NHCSP, but figured I'd have zero chance based on not having an academic reference. Kicking myself for it. I haven't been to school in years so I didn't have anyone I could reach out to request an academic reference. But if it's not meant for me this year, I'll just reapply again next year and hope for better luck.
They have the Tier info in the PDF that they give out but it's long so not to many of us might read all of that(besides who has time anyway)
1. Tier 1 Any RN student with negative SAI's
2. Tier 2 Any RN student with a positive SAI that meets all criteria(this is after they have given all the the 1st Tier awards out
3. Tier 3 Any Advance practice Nurse with the lowest SAI
