Hi everyone. Just starting this since I didn't see a thread for this application cycle. I received the NCLRP in 2009 and this is the 3rd time applying in the last 5 years.
NP with DTI ~150% and HPSA 17
I've applied a few times so here is the typical chain of events in previous years:
January/February - application cycle opens
March/April - cycle closes
May/June - credit checks start (seems to only show up on Experian)
August/September - COI/awards
October - rejection letter
This year, though, the application cycle opened much earlier (December '21 I think!) and closed in February I believe. I had a credit check 3/17. So if they follow their usual timeline, we should start hearing by June? I'm just speculating here so who knows really.
As for the tax break, I think we're a long way away from getting it.
I should add, this info is all for the NC Loan Repayment, NOT the Scholarship (there's likely another thread for that!)

It looks like one person posted up thread that she received a COI for NHSC LRP, so I’m really hoping that means they are moving ahead of schedule and it’s a quicker process. I’m still showing as under review; my credit check was 3/18.
Hi everyone! I'm reaching out to see if anyone else was notified about being a finalist for the Nurse Corps LRP? I received my notice today and completed the documents. Does anyone happen to know the estimated turnaround time to receive the counter signature?
Wishing everyone the best of luck!

Congratulations!! Do they send the notifications via email or on the bhw portal?

I received an email stating there was an update to my account. The email stated there was an "application update that requires your response and is time sensitive." It then stated a deadline of one week to respond or else I would no longer be eligible. When I logged onto the website my status had changed from under review to "Finalist for award." Definitely check the website often just incase you don't happen to see the email.
Hi everyone! Does anyone know when awards are expected to come out? I'm getting very anxious about it. So I just looked at my HPSA score and it was just updated today. My number was a 17 and it was just bumped to 11... Now I do not feel confident about getting this award. The data was updated in March. Do you think they are looking at the updated HPSA score from this year?

My site is a 13 for HPSA, but I applied for NHSC LRP, so I'm not sure if they take site scores into account.
I had a credit check on 3/18, still showing Under Review.
Same here! Received a credit check on 3/18 and application for loan forgiveness is still under review. I just want to know! LOL

Anyone have any updates on this? This would be so helpful to reduce the tax burden
