What are some of the names you've heard pts. name their babies that you liked?
(I'll add my own later, i need to check on the spelling of two of them)
My favorites are:Autumn Rose (my daughter)
Elynda (my niece, my sis wanted to spice up "Linda")
Glad to see it! My daughter is named Ivory Raine and despite NUMEROUS family protests, Ivory is now 15, loves her name and says it makes her feel like a princess!
My son is Ethan Thomas. He was supposed to be an Evan, but I had him in England and when my 2 midwives heard what his name was to be, they both said "You can't name that sweet baby Evan! That is the name of fat hairy Welshman!" I was speechless to say the least but the memory was ingrained-True story!-no offense to ANYONE!!:imbar
For many many years I have been in love with Eylysh (Eye-lish) for a girls name. Not sure if that is how it is supposed to be spelled, I heard it and never saw the spelling of it. If I ever have a little girl that's what I want her first name to be.
For boys name I find many that I like, but haven't found one I am in love with...yet. Some of the ones I like are Cherokee, Sawyer, Tucker, Josiah and Traven are just some.
My best friend since the 4th grade had a little girl and gave her the name Khelsee Dawn. 8yrs ago when she was pregnant with her first child she told me that if it was a girl she would give her my name (Dawn), but she ended up having 2 boys. Then last year when she had her daughter, even after all these years, she kept her word and gave her my name. I thought that was the nicest thing ever, it's so cool I think!
My name is Leilani (lay-lonnie) Elaine. I'm 25 years old and still not sure if I like it or not...lol. I have been told it is a pretty name by a lot of different people, so I thought that I'd throw it out there.
Personally I like both different and traditional names. The names I have picked out so far are:
Girls: Aleia (uh-lay-uh), Hazel, Victoria--so you can nickname her Tori,Cheyenne, and a name my friend recently gave her daughter: Aurelia..All of them would have to have the middle name of Elaine (a family tradition)
Boys: Austin Michael, Gavin and Ethan

This is a very common name here in Ireland. Its is spelled Eilish (eye-leesh) which is the Irish for Elizabeth or Ailish (a-leesh) which is the Irish for Alice...
my given name is emily lucrezia (named after great-grandmothers), and it's only lately that i've liked it (the emily part; for many years, i was the only one in my class with that name).
for girls: eliza, micol (pronounced mee-kohl, it's the italian version of michal, david's wife and jonathan's sister in the bible), ilaria (italian version of hilary; pronounced eel-lahr-ee-ah), alice, and marina/marissa.
for boys: leo, alessandro, andrea (italian for andrew, pronounced ahn-dray-ah), elijah, and micah.

I love the names Gideon, Carter, Micah, Paige and Madeleine. I really love the name Milo, too, but it's kind of turned into a pet's name over the years. Mabyn and Siobahn are also really pretty. I really love classic names but ones that aren't too popular at the moment.
