How to pay NMC application fee for overseas nurses

Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.

Hi guys! This thread is so helpful. I’m currently applying as a Nurse in UK with the help of Greenfields Agency. I’m currently waiting for my COS and sponsorship letter, which is taking awhile because of the change in the UK boarder agency policy I think. Hopefuly I’ll get my decision by January. Search Recruitment (greenfield’s counterpart agency in UK) is always updating me through email ang ensuring me of the position. Also, I just received my NMC 2nd pack and hopefully will finish it after 2 weeks. Almost all my questions regarding how to complete the pack2 was answered here. Haiiz -_-“ Thanks so much. ^^v

God Bless us all!!:D

I'm not sure about those RLE hours. What I'm sure of is that my schoolmates from college were all approved for ONP by the NMC, and they are now near completion.

Ask around if you have schoolmates who are now in the UK. If there are, then you need not worry about RLE hours regarding your NMC.

Thanks. I do have batchmates there. Sadly enough, they went there on student visas. No one I know took this pathway. By this, I meant the NMC pathway. Others on the other hand are misleading because they announce they are working as nurses but they can't answer my questions because they are working as carers but are too ashamed to admit it.

Well, I do hope this recent "life-support issue" involving a filipina nurse will not turn the tide for us.

Good luck to all.

I think it won't because it's an isolated case. Anyone, not only Filipinos, can make such mistake. It applies to all, highly experienced or not.

The bottomline, everyone learned something from it. :D

I suppose you're right. :) That was one scary mistake and I sure am thankful it wasn't me. By the way, I'm still on my 1st Pack so I'm not sure what details are being asked on the 2nd pack. Does the 2nd pack asks for a breakdown of RLE hours? Sorry to be so paranoid about this but if it saves me 140 pounds then it sure is worthwhile.:p

Raij,

Check your RLE summary. I took a look at mine and it registered 2570 clinical hours for my RLE.

On the second pack, there is a form for the transcript of training which will be filled out by your school. It will ask for an RLE summary and TOR.

Mine is 2256. And the minimum requirement is 2300. That's why I'm apprehensive about pushing through with this.

Try sending an email to the NMC regarding this matter. Just state your PRN in your message.

They do reply promptly to queries regarding registration. Hope this helps.

My hours were quite a bit lower than what their supposed requirement is. Granted I did my education in a different country than you but they certainly are not that strict about the hour suggestion. Take a look at mine:

nursing clinical hours - 1352

nursing didactic hours - 733

total on form - 2085

Come to think of it, why not?:) I'll just go ahead and send my application then inquire and pay my fees at the same time if their answer is promising. Thanks. :D

Hi. May I just ask those who received their eligibility to do the ONP if any of you have total RLE hours below 2300. I heard rumors that some were issued eligibility despite this. Can anyone confirm please. Thanks.

hi raij.. we have the same problem.. im a second courser and my RLE did not meet the required number of hours by NMC.. however im still pursuing with my registration and just have my fingers crossed for it... im a bit confident because i know a batchmate of mine who was approved and is already in the UK.. u woulnt know unless u take risks...
