How much is everyone paying for books this upcoming semester?

For two classes, my nursing fundamentals class and my A&P II class, it's going to cost me about $520! 7 books total for two classes!!!

The bookstore on my campus is the only bookstore around that would even sell academic books, so I think a lot of people are going to have to go online, including me.

Specializes in PCA.

5 classes + 2 labs = $850 worth of very heavy books.

For my findamentas nusing class, it's gonna cost me $700, but we use the books through out the whole program.

I'll be buying 2 books this semester. Altogether both will be $200. And they're used books. I had no lucky finding cheaper books on-line.

In the past I have gotten a few books online and got a good deal. However, here lately I haven't found my books any cheaper online than what I pay for a used copy at the bookstore. Sigh!!!

Really lucky about this, I go to a school where we rent books. I'm starting clinicals this Fall and required 10 books just for nursing. On my last semester of prereqs, my rental was $85, now it's $235. The downside is, there are some books I'd like to keep for reference and I can't ( I buy really cheap older editions instead, online).

About $250. I ordered most of them from barnes & noble and got one on ebay.

For my A&P book/manuals, EMT book/workbook/review book, Nutrition book/workbook and Medical terminology book it was about 500

I just paid $848 for books. Straight from the pocket. Don't qualify for any grants and don't want any loans until I am in NS.

It's going to be closer to $350. I just found out about 2 more books I need to buy.

I'm taking 2 courses A & P and Ethics this semester. I bought the older edition to both books after reading from the prof the older edition and the newer one were exact. So I found the older edition on ebay for $25 (found a lab book too for $6), and my Ethics books I bought for $10 from eBay. I also had to buy my A&P cat for $20.

Through the school I would have to pay about $400. So I bought my books online. They look like brand new and I paid only $200 :D

I know that the college bookstore will pay me more for those books than I had to pay for them :yeah:
