Hey everyone!! I'll be graduating from LPN school next month (Feb. 22, 2007) Yay!! But I've decided to move to New Jersey this summer and the cost of living is a tad higher (which I expected) there than here in Ohio..so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much the LPN's (in an acute care setting) make over in NJ or NY!! I would really appreciate it!
I was once told by an 1199 rep that in New York the LPN pay at a union hospital is anywhere from 18 to 24 dollars per hour. As per diem, I have heard of hourly rates from 23 to 32 dollars, depending on the facility and experience.

Hi booboo, I'm a new LPN in NY, just wanted to know the agencies that pay top dollars for LPN's. I'm planning on working in a hospital thats 1199 affiliated. They pay $24 an hour, I wanted to do some agency work on the side.
How much does the Brooklyn nursing home your friend works pays?

HI..she makes about the same $24, but she works a 4-12am shift..and the agency pays her 3-4 dollars more i think they send her to queens in woodhaven ( don't quote me on that one)...But definetely KEEP the job you have, don't worry about it you'll meet people who refer you to agencies also..but if you want i can ask her for you to be sure..
later..
I guess, it all depends on the area.I am an LPN in NJ. When I graduated two years ago, I was getting payed $23.00 per hour at my first job. I was payed $26.00 per hour at my last job. Now, I am only doing agency. I get payed $30.00 - $32.00 per hour. I just worked today and was payed $34.00 per hour.
