How much autonomy do you have?

Hi, how much autonomy do you have in your school? Do you have someone you answer to other than administration? Do you have a medical director or nurse manager? If not, who do you go to for medical related questions?

Hmm...I don't do any reports. I wonder if I am supposed to? Probably find out at the end of they year. That shows you the orientation I got :sarcastic:

I have to do monthly reports.

I report to the principal for administrative stuff, and have a nurse mentor (who I go to for most things), and a lead nurse (that doesn't really do anything). I technically have requirements for reporting to the health department, but as far as I know, it's just one report at the end of the year now.

So, I have a lot of autonomy. I agree, it's pretty great, but having a team on site would be nice. I think I'd like to work in a school large enough for two nurses.

Probably! I'm actually pretty sure I just have an end of the year report that I know about. My mentor hasn't mentioned any other reports that are due in our meetings (and we have had more than a few). I just like to complain about the trial by fire that was my orientation!

granny1!! could I get one as well? we have to do something similar, but its all on computer...it would be nice to have a tally sheet i could put on the computer later when i have time...

Far, is that a NYSDOH thing? Because I don't send any reports. The only thing I sent to NYS is immunization survey every year.
