How many questions per day?

Published

I'm curious how many questions per day everyone is doing. I'm doing 100-120 questions per day like one of my review courses suggested but it seems like everyone is doing way more than me. Should I kick it up a notch? I do questions for 2 hrs then review any content that I feel I need to brush up on.

I got my ATT today and hopefully will take the boards after the 20th of July. I know we should be doing 3500 questions or so before sitting for the boards but I was just curious if I should be doing more per day.

TIA!

I think the most important thing is that you're making sure you go back and review the things you got wrong/didn't understand. I really had no idea what was recommended as far as how many questions to do before taking the exam, etc.. I was in my own little world during the month that I studied. :chuckle

I'm doing the exact same as you are. I do 100/day from my Saunders CD. It takes me a while because I go through the questions, then I go through and read each rationale, even on the ones that I get correct.

Sounds to me like you're doing fine! :)

Hi! For the first couple of weeks I was doing 150-200 a night, but now that I'm getting tired of doing them, I'm only doing 100 a night. I agree that it is important to see why an answer is right or wrong. And that takes me a while to go over! :)

i did 300 questions a day and then comprehensive for one hour. See what I learned was that while answering the questions I was learning. My instructor called it immediate feedback. She told us not to do test that didn't give us the rational right after answering because you don't learn anything. If I was on the computer I chose to do review rather than a test. If I was in the book I would answer a question and look at the rationale! We were instructed to do 5,000 questions before sitting. It worked I passed the NCLEX on 6-21!!!

I think it depends on how much you can retain. Your plan sounds good to me.

Thanks for all the advice. I feel better. I was feeling like I wasn't kicking out enough questions. I do focus on the rationale since Suzanne told me too back in April. I try to also make myself quick index cards to remember concepts easier. Kind of like jar my slow memory. LOL.......

Thanks! Good luck to everyone waiting to sit and congrats to those that passed!
