How many of you have 75 questions passed or failed?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi, everyone, I am new here

Just took my RN exam yesterday, and... feel so bad. Cannot help it to think I failed it... :crying2: This is my second time to take it. The last time I took it was an year and half ago, I got more than 100 questions, and I failed.

This time, I really spent time preparing for the exam, since I have been out of nursing field for so many years, and it's much harder than I expected and the last time I took it. My brain was blank when I finished the exam. Couldn't remember what kind of questions I had, just memorized that I got a lot of prioritization questions, about 6 to 8. I even got one multiple choice question, when it appeared on my screen, I was so shocked and freaked out.

The computer shut down after I finished 75 questions. I almost cried it out at that time. Cuz I didn't think I do well for all those 75 questions. After I backed home, I kept thinking I failed... :crying2: although my friends kept telling me that having 75 questions is a good sign. I read some msgs posted online and found there are still a lot of people failed with 75 questions... sighs... Don't know what to do next...

People told me I can go onto CA BON's web site to check if my name is on their licensing database. I did go check it... but since I took it on Friday morning, and it's weekend now, I guess I have to wait couple days... sighs...

1. What kind of percentage would one have to achieve to pass? I realize you can get anywhere from 75 questions to 265, but out of what percentage would that be possible to pass?

2. Has anyone failed who had only 75 questions?

I'm just fact gathering, but appreciate any responses.

Well... I did some researches online before I left my first msgs here... I found that THERE ARE people who failed with 75 questions... I was really terrified that I would be one of them... However, I have no idea what the percentage it is for people who have 75 or 265 to pass...

I know people that passed and failed with 75 questions. I passed with 75 and I knew that I passed because of the level of questions that I was getting before the computer shut off. Honestly, the best way to study for the NCLEX (I heard this from my dean and it's what I did), is to do questions until your pass rate improves to 78-80%. She said about 3-5,000. I did about 3,000 total until I got sick of seeing questions.

Hello,

I passed the first time with 75 questions. I was a nervous wreck for a few days until I knew. I didn't take the exam until about four months after I graduated - I was so freaked out about it.

Ildiko

I had 75 and passed. Several of my classmates had 75 and passed, HOWEVER, several had 80, 90, 115 and passed.

Well, It is amazing to hear how many people are going and have gone through what I'm going through this very moment. I took the exam yesterday. I spent the entire day reading through forums like this. I nearly fainted when I got cut off at 75, because, well, I just wasn't doing good. I know i missed at least 3...and the rest.. I have no clue. I didn't get any cardiac and several questions were on drugs that I just didn't know.

I keep checking the Board of Nurse Examiners web page every 30 minutes for my name, and I have this sick sick feeling it just isn't going to be there.

Does anyone know how often they update those RN verification pages?

I PASSED

OH MY GOD

CANNOT BELIEVE...

Crying here... :crying2:

proud of you. i am out of nursing for 5 yrs and also need sponsorship; i did mine 12/28/06 and still awaiting results. I cry with you:bluecry1: so proud of you. where did you train previously?

I have passed at 75 and failed at 75! I recently passed and felt confident that I did pass when it shut off at 75. The first time I took it, I knew it wasn't my time because my nerves got in the way!
