Hi everyone,
I am working towards getting into a AA program here in the Bay Area. I just wanted to know how many different programs did you apply to???
How many times did you have to apply?
What was your GPA?
Thanks :heartbeat

I actually just heard today from the nursing program at CSUSM- they notify you by phone. I'll be starting at CSULA in the fall though. Good luck!
Just to clarify, you are talking about the traditional BSN program, right? You don't have a bachelor's yet? I talked to someone else and the program we applied to is the Accelerated program for a second bachelors. We are supposed to hear in two weeks or so. Congrats though!

Nope, just the regular non-licensure BSN program.
Ok, cool! Thanks, you had me a little worried there. I should here by July 18th, I guess by phone though. I was expecting something in the mail, so thanks for that bit of info! Good luck at CSULA!!

Hey, Congratulations I just got your PM and I got my phone call and email too. I'm so happy because it was the only program I applied too. I was hoping may-be you would be going to CSUSM -but good luck at CSULA. Anyone else going to Cal State-San Marcos?
I also got a phone call and email from CSUSM. My friend who didn't get into the program got a letter in the mail. Good Luck!!

Congratulations!!!! I have couple more course to take for me to apply there, however just to know (no disrespect) what it's your GPA and how important is to get in san marcos.
Thanks. Enjoy your summer cuz you won't have time for nothing
Yeah, I applied to the Accelerated Program, so we're not supposed to hear anything until July 18th. I have spoken to a couple other people and they haven't heard anything yet, sooo two more weeks! I'll be waitin for the call, hopefully!!! Congratulations to you!

Hey no disrespect. CSUSM goes by points and you get the most points for GPA. I had a 3.61 in pre-reqs and a 3.89 overall. I did the volunteering, took all 3 semester of Spanish, got a good score for the TEAS, and I had residency as well. If you go on their website it will give you the break down for the points. I took my science pre-reqs at CSUSM before that I had a 4.0.
Thanks, Do you need to be admited to the program to take your pre-requisite in CSUSM. My GPA is 3.8. I believe and hope to get in next year. Also, can you let me know how and where did you did the voluntering.
Thanks:specs:

I was accepted to CSUSM last year and then completed my pre-reqs. You have to apply separately to the school of nursing. I volunteered with a group called COPE. I was at Palomar Hospital. My girlfriend went through the Red Cross and she was able to have more flexiblility in her hours-she was at Camp Pendleton. Good Luck - let me know if you attend CSUSM!!

I'm another CSUSM Accelerated BSN hopeful. I don't know why, but the fact that CSUSM is going to e-mail/call makes me more anxious about waiting. Now I will be checking my e-mail/voicemail obsessively as well as the mailbox.
Thank you very much for the information. Good luck!!!!
