ADN here. director of Nursing for 10 years. Why go back to school?

Because everyone is replaceable.

Just saying.

Remember what Felix Unger said about assuming?

"When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me."

ahh, you said a bad word!

Diploma RN here. Looked into online coursework for BSN through local university. Found it would cost me $30,000.00. I would never get a return on my investment at that cost.

Private school?

I have a BSN with 2.5 years exp. I CANNOT find a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats weird. Where do you live?

I could think of many, but as long as your happy and content it really doesn't matter.:jester:

Going to be a junior this fall in a 4-year BSN program. I've noticed pleased responses at at work (I'm a tech in the MICU at my local hospital) from nurses and other co-workers, often telling me I'm doing myself a huge favor going straight for my BSN as opposed to the ADN route. Also, my hospital has magnet status which I'm sure implies a BSN requirement...Anyhoo! God willing I make it through the program and land a job after graduation! :)

Specializes in Mixed ICU, OHU.
